Cinder caught herself staring at Kai.
For maybe, I don't know, five minutes too long?
She snapped back to reality and ate her cereal.
It was morning on the Rampion. It was, in fact, quite early in the morning.
Kai's hair was rumpled, but in Cinder's opinion, he looked quite nice.
Cinder mentally slapped herself in the face.
Enough, she thought. Instead of dreaming about how the emperor's hair would feel -silky or smooth? Or both?- she turned her attention back to her cereal.
"So."
Cinder swallowed her cereal, nearly gagging when Kai finally spoke a word.
She looked up.
"So?"
The emperor looked down, smiling slightly.
"What's new?"
Cinder rolled her eyes.
"Are we really going to be playing this game?"
"What game?"
"The I-kissed-you-yesterday-and-now-I'm-too-shy-to-talk-to-you-normally game."
Kai smirked, yet Cinder suspected that his cheeks were slightly pink.
Cinder shook her head.
"Oh, please."
Kai smiled, a genuine, non-sarcastic smile. Cinder practically melted.
She mustered up the courage.
"I supposed if you're too shy, I'll have to do something about that," She started innocently. "And, stars, Kai. Don't get too excited."
Cinder walked over to put away the cereal, pausing for a second to kiss Kai's cheek.
His mouth twitched slightly before reaching over, grabbing her waist, and planting a kiss on her mouth.
I know, I know. I'm not good at writing about these two. Suggestions on improvements below.
Please tell me if you think that something is wrong, I really want to knoooooww...
Anyway, thanks for reviewing and reading!
