My first L and Light song fic.
I just felt like making this after I heard the song. Post Light's death in Light Yagami, Shinigami? Rather depressing too. Don't read unless you've read EA or you will not understand.

White walls surround us
L crouching in an empty room, the old investigation room
No light will touch your face again
L with tears running down his face, a translucent image of Light's hand stroking his cheek
Rain taps the window
L looking out into the rain, wishing he was out there with Light
As we sleep among the dead.
L lies in bed, fingering the shimmering vile of Light's dust around his neck
Days go on forever
L looks at clock beside bed, wishing away the hours
But i have not left your side
Translucent image of Light appears beside him in bed, hugging him
We can chase the dark together
Morning rays fall on the Light image
If you go then so will i
Light image disappears and L starts to cry again
There is nothing left of you
Flashback to when Light dies
I can see it in your eyes
Light's eyes turn red, and start to close slightly
Sing the anthem of the angels
(Sky shot) Light lying with wings outstretched underneath him next to L
And say the last goodbye
(Zoom on Light's face) Mouth moves to the word "goodbye"
Cold light above us
Light as Shinigami stands behind L, hovering three feet above the ground, watching his lover
Hope fills the heart and fades away
L turns around and Light disappears
Skin white as winter
Light looks at L trough what seems to be a mesh curtain
As the sky returns to grey
Looks out the window at the rain with L, wishing L could see him
Days go on forever
L Looks at watch, a tear falls on the watch face
But i have not left your side
Light places a hand on L's shoulder
We can chase the dark together
Light hugs L tightly for a second, but L can't feel it.
If you go then so will I
L holds gun to his head, wishing he could pull the trigger
There is nothing left of you
Light watches as his friend tries to commit suicide
I can see it in your eyes
Light Sees the sadness in L's eyes
Sing the anthem of the angels
Light curls his hand around the gun and lowers it slowly.
And say the last goodbye
L falls to his knees, sobbing
I keep holding onto you
L clenches his fist around the vile around his neck
But i can't bring you back to life
L Slowly releases his grip
Sing the anthem of the angels
Looks up at an image of light, standing there, hand outstretched to help him up.
Then say the last goodbye
L reaches for it and Light's image disappears
You're dead alive (x4)
L sitting in an armchair, waiting for life to be over
(different angle for each time line is said)
There is nothing left of you
Light and L stare out window,
I can see it in your eyes
(close up on eyes) tears at the corners drip down
Sing the anthem of the angels
Light leans against L, but L cannot feel it.
And say the last goodbye
(Showing what L sees) A slight wrinkle on his loose white shirt
I keep holding onto you
Light slips his hand into L's
But i can't bring you back to life
L shivers and shakes Light's hand out of his
Sing the anthem of the angels
Light takes a step back, wings outstretched.
And say the last goodbye
Both turn away (zoom in on faces ((split screen))) and mouth goodbye
