The Prompt: Man With the Blues by country artist Willie Nelson
Supervisory Special Agent in Charge Aaron Hotchner was a man with the blues. He could not help how he felt even though it was his own fault. His eyes traveled to the window in his office and he could not help but smile as he saw the woman that he loved. That was right him SSA Aaron Hotchner was in love and with none other than his subordinate Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss.
He knew that he would keep having the blues until he got the nerve up to tell her how much she meant to him. He wanted to tell her more than anything but he was scared. He was scare to love and lose again. He was scared that she would not return his feelings. Most of all he was scared that she would return his feelings.
He just was not sure on what to do. He knew that if he did not tell her soon how he felt that he could end up losing her before he even got her. He sighed as he thought about that. He did not want any other man but him touching his precious Emily. He did not want any other man but him kissing his precious Emily. He groaned as his mind conjured up images of him touching and kissing Emily. If he did not tell her soon about how he felt towards her he was going to explode and probably in more ways than one.
As he looked out his office window at the love of his life he could not help but smile again. He was not sure when he fell in love with her all he knew is that one day about a year ago he had looked into her eyes and that was when he knew that he was in love with her. He chuckled at the thought that he had fallen in love and had not even known it because he was one of the best at profiling yet he did not even know he was falling in love until he was already in love.
When he saw Emily look up to his office it was then that he decided that he would finally tell her how he felt. When his eyes connected with hers and he saw the happiness in them and then the smile that she sent his way he knew that Emily loved him just as he loved her. No matter how scared he was of being in love and of being loved back the thought of living his life without Emily by his side was even more scarier. Now he just had to come up with the perfect way to tell her how he felt.
