Christmas

"Good morning mommy!"

"Hey Amanda and Kyle, good morning."

"Merry Christmas mommy!" Amanda said. Today was December 25, 2011. Christmas! Cat Valentine had two kids, one boy named Kyle, 8, who had dark brown curly hair, and a little girl named Amanda, 5, who had red hair that was straight, almost like Cat's.

"Merry Christmas, did you guys see what Santa left?"

"We were waiting for you." said Amanda

"What's wrong mommy?"

"Mommy misses daddy, right?" Amanda answered. Cat nodded sadly. Cat was married to Robbie, and he was over seas in war.

"Well don't worry mom, Christmas will still be fun." Kyle said.

"I know, well come on! Let's see what Santa left and if he ate his cookies!" The kids ran down to the living room and Cat followed, happy because she saw how happy her kids were. Only if Robbie were here.

"AHHH! Santa left me a new doll house!" Amanda squealed with excitment. Cat laughed andd took a picture of her holding her new dollhouse. Cat took a spot on the couch and watched her kids open up their presents.

"Awesome! I got a new racing game for X-Box 360!" Kyle said. The two kids opened presents and looked on the table where they had left Santa's cookies. There was a note.

"Mommy, what does the note say?"

"Dear Kyle and Amanda, I hope me and my elves gave you everything you wanted. I've been watching you two from the North Pole, and I have to say, you two children have been very good this year! My reindeer were very excited to come to your house and drop off presents. Comet said that he loved your Christmas decorations. And Prancer said he loved your Christmas lights on your house. Be very good for mommy and daddy so you can be on the nice list again next year!
Love always, Santa Clause." Cat read aloud.

"Oh my gosh! Santa left a notee!" Amanda said excitely.

"Well I'm glad you two got everything you wanted for Christmas, love you too."

"Love you too mom!" They said at the same time.

"So what do you want to -" As Cat was talking the door bell rang. Cat stood up and walked over to the door. "ROBBIE!"

"Daddy!" Amanda said running over to her father. By the time she got there, Cat was hugging him and she was in tears. Robbie picked her up with one arm and kept his other arm around Cat. Kyle ran over and gave him a hug.

"I missed you so much babe." Robbie kissed her forehead.

"I missed you more Rob." This truly was the best Christmas ever.
