AN: Prompts, such lovely things to get you thinking.

Prompt for this one: shared blanket.

"Stupid bastard,"Romano mumbled under his breath as he entered the home he was currently sharing with Spain.

Spain brightened when he looked up and saw Romano. He got up, tripping over the chord to his laptop sitting nearby, and made his way over, pulling him close. "Roma! I missed you!"

Romano glowered. "Let go,"he said, his voice snappish.

Spain pouted. "Bad day at work?"he asked. "You're all tense."
Romano glared at him again, but allowed the spainiard to lead him to the bedroom.

"You really shouldn't let people bug you so much, Roma."

Normally, Romano would protest this nickname and the comment, but he was too tired to care.

Then Spain decided to pull the italian's shirt off. "Lay down on your stomach,"he said softly, folding the shirt neatly and putting it aside.

Romano sighed, kicking his shoes off and doing as Spain had asked. It wasn't often that Spain ordered him to do anything, but that was as close as he got, so he figured he shouldn't argue with him over it.

As soon as he did, Spain moved to kneel over him, one leg on either side of him. Romano was about to ask what he thought he was doing before he started kneeding the italian's shoulders carefully, working out the kinks in the muscles.

Romano let a soft groan escape. God, that feels good, he thought. It had been ages since he could find himself relaxing like this around Spain. His bad day faded from his mind, and he let Spain do as he wanted without saying a word.

As soon as Spain was certain that he'd managed to work the kinks out of Romano's back, he had the italian flip over and ran his hands down his chest to rest on his stomach. "So..wanna tell me what happened today?"he asked.

Romano shook his head. "Not really. I don't wanna think about it,"

Spain nodded in understanding, leaning down to capture the italian's lips in a gentle kiss.

Such a simple thing took Romano's breath away still.

Spain smiled when he pulled away, moving to lay down and pulling Romano to him before pulling a thick blanket over both of them. He let Romano curl up against his chest and go to sleep.

Finally, things were okay. Spain pulled the blanket tighter over the two of them, knowing it was the only way to keep Romano warm. He knew from experience that the italian got cold easily, even if he was wrapped in Spain's arms.

Some fluffy Spamano for ya!
