In a parallel world, three young individuals walk.
"Can we sit down for a moment?" the woman requests. Her companions nod and the three sit down on two big stones. She sits on a stone for herself, while her two friends (she actually considers them her brothers) share the other one.
No one says anything for the first few minutes. The brunette male scratches the back of his neck as he wonder about how to break the silence; it's clear to him that she wants to say something, even though she is a quiet type.
"Mikasa?" the woman doesn't react or even looks at him, that is, until he sighs in slight frustration.
At that sigh she reacts, because she doesn't want to keep the secret to herself anymore, she doesn't want to be a coward or to be ashamed.
"Eren, Armin ... I think I might be bi sexual."
Or something.
Her words come out quickly, but that wasn't how or what she'd planned to say.
Neither Eren or Armin are surprised. If anything, Armin might be a little embarrassed; he doesn't know what to say, so instead places his hand on her shoulder. He and Eren had suspected it.
Mikasa can feel the slight squeeze and appreciates the comfort. She doesn't need words.
They sit in their position for a moment, listening to the wind in the trees and smelling the freshly plowed fields.
"Is it ... him? Do you ... love him?" Eren asks cautiously.
Mikasa gets slightly pink on her cheeks; yes, she loves him - once again, he and Armin had suspected it.
Armin hums an appreciative sound. "It's fine if you're straight - " He is then interrupted by Mikasa: "That's not what I ... " She goes silent and accepts Armin's ability to read between the lines.
".. You know Eren and I still, and always will, love you," Armin assures and creates eye contact with his friend.
Eren adds that there is no doubt that they love her and he gives the happiest smile to her in a long time. He is proud of her.
"Thanks," is all she responds, her lips curving up slightly. She is truly happy to have such an amazing family.
... and then the three young individuals rise to continue their walk, that is, in a parallel world.
