Boardwalk

There's a night I'll always remember.

I'll never forget it.

It wasn't much,

But it was special.

It wasn't very long either,

It was short,

But I felt like forever.

It was on a Sunday night,

April 11, 2010.

It was drizzling out.

And we were in our nicest clothes.

Our hair all messy and frizzy from the ride we just rode.

And there he is, in his suit and tie.

I couldn't help myself to think he was the most gorgeous guy.

We told him to tag along and he did.

We all started talk and we were having a good time.

Then suddenly, he was walking by my side.

And we had our little conversation.

My heart was beating so fast and I was happy to be with him.

It was like a dream, with all the city, street fair lights.

Like a scene from a movie.

I couldn't describe what I was feeling.

All I could say is that he was nice, understood me,

Made me laugh and smile.

And I haven't felt that way for the longest.

And he helped me find myself again.

Just when we were lost in our own world,

Our friend jumped in and asked if we can buy candy.

And we're like "okay".

So we went to the candy booth,

And he all bought us candy.

I thought that was really sweet.

I'll never forget what he got me: 3 candy caramel apples.

Which the other one my friend begged to have, so I gave it to her.

I was having such a great time which I haven't had for awhile.

And I just wanted to stay there,

I didn't want to go back.

But as we did I knew that,

This day will always be memorable to me.

So I wished that what happened that day.

Will happen again next year.
