New Begging's the sequel to The Contest. Hope you like it(:
Cammie's P.O.V
"Cam? Mails here!" Macey yells, walking into the room with a pile of mail in her hands. I jump off the couch, grabbing the mail from her hands. "Junk, junk, for you, junk, junk, LETTER FROM ZACH!" I say as I go through the mail. She giggles at me as I drop all the other mail on the couch, ripping open my letter.
With Zach going off on his first mission, one where he poses as a Marine, fighting for our country. He still is, just in a different way than everyone thinks. "You'd think you don't get a letter every week." Macey mutters, grinning softy at me. I roll my eyes, starting to read my letter with a slight smile.
Gallagher Girl,
Things are going well. We're moving forward with the Mission. We're going to attack the base where they're keeping theā¦the thing I'm not allowed to tell you. Sorry sweetheart. But anyways, if things go as planned, I'll be home early. Wouldn't that be great? I'm excited.
Tell the girls I say hi, and that I hope they're doing well. By the way, how are Macey and Matt? Are they still together? Bex and Grant? How are they? Tell the boys I miss them as well, the next time you see them, please.
This letter is rather short, and I apologize for that. We're leaving tonight, to attack the base. I don't know if I'll be able to write for a while, but I'll try to keep the letters coming. I love you, Gallagher Girl. And I can't wait to get back to you.
Zach
I grin as I read the letter, tears coming to my eyes. It doesn't matter if Zach's not really in the army, he's still in danger. He's still risking his life. We don't know what's going on with the enemy. All we know is that we have to stop him, so that's what we'll do. "So, how is he?" Macey asks.
"He's doing well." I say, looking up at her with a smile. "That's great." She says, taking a sip of her drink. "You wanna go out with me and the girls tonight?" she asks. I shrug. "Why not?" I say. She grins. "Be ready by six, babe." She says as she walks out of the kitchen. The front door opens and Liz and Bex walk in.
"Did you get a letter from Zach today?" Bex asks, setting down grocery bags on the table. "Yup." I say, walking over to where she had set the bags down and starting to put the food away. "What did he say?" Liz asks. "Not much, the letter was short. But there's a chance he could be coming home soon." I say.
"That's great!" Bex says. I grin and nod my head, "So we're going out tonight?" I ask. "Yeah, we thought it would be fun to get out of the house for our girls night instead of just renting a bunch of romantic movies and eating ice cream in the living room." Liz says. We all giggle at how we still act like we're in high school.
"I think that's a great idea, for us to get out. We haven't gone out in a while so this should be a lot of fun." I say. "Want help getting ready?" Bex asks a few moments later. I shrug and giggle, "Yeah, like how we used to at Gallagher." I say with a grin at the memory of our high school lives.
"Yeah." Liz says sorta of sadly. We've all really started to miss back when we didn't have to pay bills, or buy our own food, and cook it, as well. Back when we weren't adults. Growing up sucks.
Yes this was short, but the next chapters will hopefully be longer! I've been thinking about writing a sequel for this for a while, and today, I just decided to do it. Hope its as good as The Contest!(: Review?
