Harry was in his least favorite class of all time, Potions. Snape was yet again harassing Neville. The class was in the middle of mixing the ingredients for a shrinking potion-Snape said it was for the bad crop of Quintaped this year and they needed to be shrunk so they could be handled properly. However, Harry seriously doubted this.

"Do you not know how to read the directions on the board? It states plainly that you have to put in unicorn hair before the slugs." Snape stated calmly in Neville's face.

Neville tried to reply but all he could do was shiver instead. Snape didn't seem to care. "Ten points from Gryffindor!" The Gryffindors moaned.

When Snape walked away to see how everyone else was doing, a girl stood from her seat and went over to the poor boy. She was tall and her face was completely hidden underneath her hood. Everyone stared at her as she walked toward him. She held a piece of muggle notebook paper out to Neville.

"Don't let Snape get to you. Imagine yourself making a potion to save one of your plants. Keep thinking it's to save your plants and you'll get the potion right." The girl had started to head to her seat when Snape's voice shot from across the room.

"You there! Come here now!" The Slytherins laughed silently as the girl turned slowly around.

"Did I do anything wrong Professor?" She said innocently

"Yes you did, you helped Longbottom when you should know better." The girl just looked into his eyes.

"Well, you're a teacher you are supposed to help the students, but you didn't. So I helped him, sir." The girl didn't take her eyes off of him.

"What is your name!" Snape looked murderous.

"You should know my name Severus," Snape's expression changed from murderous to horrified. No one has ever heard a student talk to Snape like that, the girl just stood her ground.

"Enough you have a detention and twenty more points from Gryffindor for your insolence!" Snape was furious again. The girl shrugged and started working on her potion. "Ha, like that is going to teach me to behave."

Snape had had it with this girl and walked up to her. His face was millimeters away from hers. He simply said, "Out."

The girl seemed furious, but didn't say a word. She got up, gathered her things, and left. By the end of the lesson, everyone was asking the same question, who was that girl.

"I wonder who that girl was?" asked Harry, as he Ron and Hermione headed toward Gryffindor Tower. "I mean if she is in our house why haven't we seen her before?"

Ron shrugged his shoulders as Hermione said, "The real question is why she kept her hood up?"

As they pondered on these questions, they reached the portrait hole and crawled inside. Ginny was at a table playing with Crookshanks, he was trying to catch the string Ginny held.

Harry sat across from her, "Have you ever seen a girl who kept her hood up?"

Ginny looked puzzled. "Why would you want to know?"

Ron answered before Harry. "Well this girl in Potions told off Snape. I think she scared him a little bit."

Ginny didn't look surprised. "Well at least someone told him off."

They chatted about the girl until it was late. Harry and Ron had work to do they took out their parchment, quills and started writing essays. Hermione checked their work until they couldn't stay awake anymore. After they said their goodnights, they went to bed.
