Irma knows no one in the school likes her. They only know her as the strict librarian who tells them all to whisper. Either that or they know her as a vengeful demon if they dare destroy one of her precious books.
They don't know how lonely Irma gets. They don't know how she wishes for companionship every now and then. They don't know that her husband was killed by Death Eaters in the first war, and that's why she has a metal shield around her heart that no one can ever penetrate. They don't know she sometimes cries in her pillow at night because of the unfairness of it all.
And no one will ever know.
