HEY ARNOLD! THE GREAT JUNGLE

Rescue! in the heart of SAN LORENZO

Not much to say I don't own these characters. My name's not Craig and the only characters I own are the ones that are obviously not in the show. If you've seen Hey Arnold! then you'd already know that so...

CHAPTER 1 : A glimpse of hope.

The Essay contest..

Deep in the heart of Central America,

lost within it's dark mysterious jungle.

Animals of all kinds scattered for cover

as a figure of a young boy runs through

it's dense brush. Gripping tightly to a

old tattered journal in his small arms.

The boy quickly made his way deeper in as

he gasped for air. His heart pounding

he suddenly could heard the sound of

distant chants and beating of drums

coming from the surrounding trees.

Startled the young boy stops and turns

to look, but still no one was in sight.

The strange voices seemed to be growing

louder by the minute as they became more

clearer. The cries spoke like wind as

they constantly called out his name.

( AAAaarrrnnooolld, AAAaarrrnnooooooollld...)

He could feel eyes all around him as he

turned and ran for his life. He quickly

brushed away the low branches and vines

of trees that got in his way. Feeling

frantic he could hear a somewhat

familiar voice.

It was a woman's scream calling out to

him

desperately.

Like a lost feeling resurfacing once

again. This made him speed up his pacing

as he began to run faster and faster. Hoping with all hope

that this person was who he'd thought she was.

Soon another voice was quickly accompanied by

the woman's call. A man's voice that, that too

seemed oh too familuer to him.

WOMAN:ARNOLD!

MAN: SON!

Yes it was the boy's parents and they were in

deep trouble by the sound of their voices.

He quickly came to a clearing and there a large

temple stood before him. As the bright light of

the evening sun slowly set behind the slowly crumbling

structure.

The symbol of the Green eye's village

trademark shown at the temple's entrance as a

green mist flew from over head. He knew this

just had to be the place.

And with that Arnold took a deep breath and

let out a large yell of his own.

MOM! DAD!
