Austrian Mozartkugeln Chocolate
"My Godiva pralines are so much better than your Lindt & Sprüngli!" proclaimed Belgium to Switzerland.
"They are not! Your truffles don't even compare to my Lindor ones!" retorted Switzerland back to her.
"Will the two of you please not fight over this in my house!" screamed a frustrated Austria trying to listen to Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor.
Belgium and Switzerland looked a bit abashed, but soon began to glare at each other again, green eyes boring into green eyes. It made a somewhat amusing scene, Belgium being quite a bit taller than Switzerland.
"My dear sister, please stop fighting with Switzerland over chocolate," sighed a bored Netherlands, Belgium's older brother, in Dutch.
Liechtenstein tried to alternatively console her big brother Switzerland, her friend Belgium, and nice Mr. Austria all at the same time.
"I know! Why don't we have a contest to see who can make the best chocolate?" asked a cheerful, innocent Liechtenstein, "Mr. Austria, you make such nice food too! Why don't you compete as well?"
Despite being a "free-loading aristocrat" endowed with the arts, Austria's delicious chocolate was not famous like Switzerland's or Belgium's. Perhaps the competition would be an interesting way to see whose truly was better. And it was also kind of hard to resist Liechtenstein's sweet smile.
"I'm judging," stated Netherlands.
"That's not fair! You'll vote for Belgium," Switzerland protested.
"I'll judge then," said Hungary, stepping into the room.
"Hungary, what are you doing here?" asked Austria with a surprised look on his face.
Hungary smiled, "You forgot your piano music sheets at my house."
And so the group moved to Austria's immaculate kitchen, and started making chocolate.
Hungary tried Switzerland and Liechtenstein's chocolate first. They'd made a "Raspberry Vanilla Eisdessert" which was a delicious raspberry filling over vanilla cream with a rich appealing cheese cake flavor, covered in smooth milk chocolate.
"Mmm… This is really good; I like the blend of raspberry and vanilla. Nice and creamy, too," reported Hungary.
Next was Belgium and the Netherlands' chocolate. They'd made a Mocha Almond Parfait chocolate. It was multi-layered mocha and almond flavored dessert fillings in a delicate chocolate cup.
Hungary sighed happily, "All good things come in small packages with lots of layers, huh? It's so chocolaty."
Finally, Hungary tried Austria's chocolate called Mozartkugeln Chocolate, created to commemorate the gifted composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It consisted of a soft hazelnut cream center surrounded by a pistachio marzipan filling and enrobed with milk chocolate.
Hungary's taste buds were filled with a song of flavor. The hazelnut cream was soft, rich, velvety notes. The pistachio marzipan was sweet, trilling notes across Hungary's tongue. The milk chocolate melted into the tune of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor.
"Oh Austria! How did you make something like this?" gasped Hungary.
"Symphony No. 40 in G minor," was all he said.
"So Austria wins?" inquired Netherlands.
"It seems so," replied Switzerland, "where's Liechtenstein?"
Both countries looked over to see their younger sisters eating Austria's chocolate.
