Prologue: Silence and peace hung over Vale, savoring their last few moments on Weyard, taking in the blissful solitude of dawn. The birds were hesitant to go about their usual chirping, feeling an urgent whisper float through the layer of ethereal fog, calling out to those who it would beseech aid. The voice of the elements…
A shadow passed through the Vale, swiftly and silently making its way through the scattered trees just beyond the houses. It had one intent, singular and deadly, as it kept its eyes upon the great alchemic mountain looming over the quiet town. Today it would watch the people of Weyard rise and awake to find their reality shorn…
Up in the northernmost reaches of Weyard sparks flew from blades shattered on the hide of a dragon, and alchemic forces swirled in the air as destruction rained down on all upon that aerie— a force created out of hate against those that they loved but did not know. Soon a star would shine in the northern sky…
Two hours later, chaos was imminent. The people of Vale were gathered around their sanctum at the base of Mt. Aleph, crowding around the Great Healer. He had had another one of his prophetic visions, those that were so closely followed by the people in northern Angara. Whispers and rumors floated amongst the gathered bodies, hovering into peoples' minds on wings of worry. And instantly the whispers ceased as Dora spotted a figure climbing Mt. Aleph. The newly risen sun glinted off of it, shining blue.
With this newfound danger, the townspeople thought back to the storm that killed the parents of innocent children, and of the eruption of a year ago… they instantly grabbed their most precious belongings and evacuated to Vault.
─Mt. Aleph: Peak─
"Just…. a few… more feet," Alex wheezed. He wearily reached up with his right hand and grabbed a hold of a protruding rock on the flat mountaintop and pulled himself up, collapsing on the ground. The moment of truth was coming. He slowly pushed himself up and instantly saw the beam of cerulean light rushing toward him.
This is the moment I have been yearning for! Come to me alchemic power!!!
The brilliance of azure encompassed the miniscule figure on Mt. Aleph, fusing itself into his body. Alex winced as the full power of the lighthouse slammed into him, yet soon he reveled in it. This was his element after all. The next beam engulfed him without so much as a second's warning, lighting his vision viridescent. He was brought down to one knee as he focused on staying conscious throughout the onslaught of this unfamiliar element. The power rushed around throughout his veins, battering his mind almost senseless. The element of Venus soon gave over to the turquoise brilliance of Jupiter, and Alex relaxed as his element shared a symbiotic relationship with Jupiter. Nonetheless, he was still experiencing excruciating pain because of the sudden surge of power transferring itself into him. But just as soon as his world turned crimson, his vision turned black as he collapsed unconscious to the ground.
The sky flashed gold as the power of the lighthouses was all infused into Alex. The light blinded all who looked at it, but when it faded, a celestial sphere hovered where Alex used to be. It rocketed off into the heavens and all that was left of the blue haired man was a charred circle of rocks.
