Conversations with the Magdalene

The Prostitute Who Followed
An uncertain future
An unpredictable God
What am I to do?
Keep your eyes on Jesus
Let your heart keep still
Give to Him your heavy burdens
Trust in the Father's will.
I am one who is being hunted
Shadows reach for me with nightcrawler fingers
My eyes are haunted and I cannot sleep
What am I to do?
Breathe deep, calm down,
Nothing can frighten you when Jesus is around
Let Him do battle for you instead
Rest peacefully in the Father's arms.
My tears stain His feet
My hair caresses His skin
How can He forgive me
For the places I shouldn't have been.
What am I to do?
Woman, your accusers have fled
Dry your eyes, weep no more.
You have been forgiven.
Go and sin no more
Beautiful Mary Magdalene.
O gracious Lord,
My thanks for mercy undeserved.
I will follow You and keep Your Word.
Wonderful, Merciful Raboni!
