Keep Running
Fantasy is child's play,
This, this is much more,
Stress pounding through you empty core,
How can we survive?
Nothing less than a whisper,
A gasp of strangled breath,
Circling an inevitable death,
Tears wet the desert sand,
Bright red hair dazzles,
Intermingling with the violet hue,
So unnatural, it constitutes the view,
Of the aftermath we head towards,
Love is on the line,
Gun powder clouds your eyes,
In a forced attempt, spoken lies,
Never betray your family,
Thick determination in your skull,
Blind hearts race for a cure,
For good or evil, unsure,
Save us, they plead,
Bulletproof we stand,
Before the enemy we're strong,
We cannot hold pieced together for long,
They relish in our pain,
All hell freezes over tonight,
This savage war is endless,
Wounds are on the mend, unless,
Those give up their desire to fight,
Killjoys, now is the time,
Raise your voices, loud,
Stand among each other, proud,
BL/ind will never defeat us,
Struggling and persistent,
Through the white-washed halls,
Spilled blood stains every fall,
Yet the aftermath is secondary,
Pursue our forgotten dream,
Our hearts are steady as they beat,
This is no easy feat,
Keep running.
Reviews are welcome! I always love to write poems, so tell me if you like it or not, and maybe I'll put some more up :)
