A/N: Here's what everybody has missed because they decided it would be a good time to fade to white at the end of the show. Because everybody knows something did happen afterwards! ;-)

Disclaimer: I own nothin', especially not the script at the beginning of the fic. I only own the last part and my interpretation on the scene.

A/N2: Sorry if it starts where it does. I rewatched the whole scene like ten times but I just couldn't hear what she was saying after the tear fell on the girl's picture. Oh, and also, I only saw the ending (haven't seen the whole episode yet... only 20 minutes to go before I can). This story just couldn't wait.

"It does. It matters."

Booth looked at her, not quite sure he understood why it mattered. So he simply nodded. It was all he could do. For her, he'd pretend that he understood. She was almost crying and his heart ached for her. A small pressure in his pocket reminded him of the present he had brought for her.

"I got something for you." He said, hoping the object in his pocket would at least cheer her up a little.

"A bottle of hard liquor?" Temperance asked as she watched her partner reach in his pocket and take something out.

"The next best thing." He replied before leaning closer to her. "Meet Jasper."

Temperance watched as a boyish grin appeared on her partner's face. She was unable to control her own smile which immediately spread on her face. Grabbing the object from her partner's hand, she examined the tiny pink pig, laughing softly. She just couldn't believe it that he had gotten her a pig.

"You're going to be okay."

Temperance looked up at him, suddenly feeling a bit more at peace with herself than she had felt minutes ago. In his eyes, she saw that he was speaking the truth. After all, he had been through that before. He knew what he was talking about. And if he had been able to get through it, so would she. She trusted him. He said she would, so she would.

"Yeah." She replied, truthfully.

"Definitely."

He smiled at her sympathetically. She did the same.

They sat like this for a few more seconds before Temperance dropped her gaze back to the little pig in her hand. She twirled it around a couple of times, pretty sure her partner was staring at her in amusement. She looked up and was surprised to find something else in his eyes, something she hadn't expected to see and couldn't quite explain. He was looking at her tenderly, in a way that nobody had done before. She looked back down at the pig.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Her eyes remained on the pig. Two fingers gently pushed her chin up and she was forced to meet his eyes. In them had been added a hint of concern once again.

"Are you going to be okay?"

She chuckled softly, so softly it sounded more like a sigh.

"You already asked me that."

Booth smiled and nodded. She'd be okay. She was strong enough to get passed this. He didn't know how long it would take but he knew that it would happen eventually. The proof was, she was already being her usual litteral self.

"My bad." He replied, a smile tugging at his lips.

He watched her for another second or two. Then, without warning, he slowly leaned closer and pressed his lips against her forehead, kissing her twice tenderly. He felt her stiffen a little but she immediately relaxed. He smiled as he pulled away and locked eyes with his partner.

"Good night." He whispered.

Temperance nodded.

"Good night."

Temperance watched as he got up and walked to the door, flashing her one last charm smile.

So... what do you think?
