Travels

Our tale begins with a machi-…no a man walking through a barren land of lost warriors from a time well before his existence, the age of Gods and Demons, more accurately; the war that plagued the lands of this planet into nothing but bloodshed and hate for each side. This man was traversing through one such battlefield now covered by a thick white blanket of snow with only the old and ageing ruins being any sign of a war here. Now a day's people vaguely even know Gods or Demons once existed in this land with only a select few who can prove that it wasn't just an old tale that could be interpreted in many ways. This man was one of them.

Trudging through this snow was difficult especially when trying not to trip over any of this god forsaken things they call a ruin it was more like a bunch of old rocks that haven't moved since the day they got stuck in here from this damn battle. Blowing them up is easier said than done but…this land is plagued by creatures that most likely want to rip whatever they catch apart. "ugh I just had to make it harder on myself didn't I?" the man thought to himself.

Suddenly the man heard something amongst the snow: it was a hiker being attacked by one of those aforementioned creatures. The man began running over to the hiker trying to get away from the creature, the man made it to the hiker but the creature was nowhere to be seen, that was worrying. The man turned his attention to the hiker "Are you ok sir?" he said checking for his injuries, "m-my arm! My arm I think it's br-broken!" the hiker screamed in agony. The man reached in to grab some medical supplies until the hiker screamed "THE MONSTER!" the man turned around to see a long slender python like creature slithering in the snow. Frost Vipers! The hiker must've accidentally entered its territory while walking along the path. "Stay behind me sir! I'll handle this!" the man yelled and prepared himself for battle against the giant snow snake.

The Frost Viper was the first to strike, swiping its tail at the man but the man was able to block the tail with his arm but the Frost Viper lunged forward and bit into the man's shoulder only to find its teeth shattering against something hard. The man was wearing battle armour! The suit started to cover his body revealing his helmet and visor that prepped him for the perfect chance to strike. The man pulled the Viper in and revealed machine guns in his hand and started to rip the Viper in half with the continuous fire from his bullets until the creature was nothing more than a bloody mess.

The man then turned his attention back to hiker who was in utter awe at this warrior's fight with the oversized snake. "y-y-you killed that monster…", "Don't worry about that, quick let's get you to the village" the man tended to the hiker's wounds as best as he could and proceeded to carry him to the village at the bottom of the hill. That was when the hiker asked "Sir?", "yes?" the man replied. "what's your name?" the hiker asked for the name of his saviour.

"…Havok" he replied, "Havok…thank you for saving me". The town was just over there.

"…don't mention it…sir".

Havok then saw the village light up brightly from below the hill and started to make his descent...
