The dark one will emerge from the shadows. His spawn will wreak havoc on the lands of the Middle Kingdom, destroying all in its wake. Born under Light, only one born of the royal line and one born of the hero ancestry will be able to defeat this darkness. Shadows will fight light and only one can become victor.

The queen looked out her window as the man, she once thought of as her husband, walked into the garden with her son. He was about five, his hair still a luscious golden color. She sighed, knowing her time may be up. She looked to the young girl sleeping in the bed nearby, the twin of the prince. Zelda Karinma Hyrule. "Zelda." The queen said as she nudged her daughter. "It is time to go." The young girl groaned and sat up. Her mother took her hand and lead her out of the tower.

This was the land of Hyrule, back when things are peaceful, and the king and queen ruled side by side. The queen took her daughters small hand and held it close as she placed a small hood over the girl's shoulders. The princess looked up, her short golden hair now hidden under the hood. Her large green eyes looking into her mother's blue eyes, asking her what was going to happen. The queen, though young, looked so aged at that moment as she scooped up her daughter.

The sun was setting and the two made their way to the docks, climbing aboard a ship. She could hear the guards as the ship set sail. "Mama?" the princess asked as she pulled off her little hood. Her pink and white sundress fluttered in the breeze. The queen turned to her daughter. She put a hand on the soft cheek and smiled. "Don't worry my little one." She said softly. "We are free now." Zelda looked to her mother and sighed.

As they traveled a storm was starting to brew and it was evident something was amiss. The king had found out they had left and was creating the storm. "Zelda, stay close." The queen whispered as she pulled the child closer. The wind began to pick up, causing Zelda to whimper in fear. Cold dark waves crashed against the side of the boat, making her jump. "Zelda, hand on to something." The queen looked to where her daughter had been. "Zelda?"

A cry was heard not far away. Zelda had been caught by a wave and was barely hanging onto the railing of the little ship. "Zelda!" the queen cried as she and the captain raced for the little girl. Just as they reached her, another wave crashed over the ship, taking with it, the child. "ZELDA!" She was gone. The storm raged on, the little life that had been, was no longer. The princess was lost, and the future for the land, gone with her.
