The one who saved me…
I can barely feel my arms, or my legs. I am tired and I feel that all my energy is floating away from me, but at least I'm alive.
Step by step I approach the one who saved me. The deadly blow was aimed at me, but he was the one who caught it. Anger awakened in me and I could finally beat the enemy, but it was to late for him.
Although the distance between us is only about 5 meter, it looks like endless gap to me. The battle has worn me out and every step I take wears me out even more.
Suddenly a huge shot of pain is overwhelming me. I fall on my knees. But I can't give in yet. Not before I've watched my saviour in his eyes. I continue to crawl towards him.
I see his chest moving up very fast, meaning he is still alive. He coughs. Blood is coming out of his mouth. 'Hold on a little longer' is all I can think now.
Finally he is in reach of me. I stretch my arm and touch his cheek. "I'm with you" I whisper. But I wonder if he heard me through his heavy breathing.
I crawl forward a little more in order to face him. I blush, I've never seen him this close. He has a pretty face, even though he is dying.
He tries to open his eyes and watches me. "Hinata-sama…" He barely brings out. His appearance touches me. Tears fill up my eyes, but I forbid myself to cry in front of him. "Why?" I sob. "I thought you hated the main house…"
With much effort he lifts up his hand and takes mine. "I still do, Hinata-sama..." He coughs. "it was my own choice" He stops again to take one more breath. "I just wanted to protect you…" His hand loses grip and falls down next to his lifeless body.
The tears in my eyes are burning now and I finally allow them to fall down. Neji-niisan saved me because he wanted to. I collapse on his body and cry.
The dark clouds that dominated whole of the battle make way for the sun. But for me it just started to rain…
Author's note: This is the second story I submitted to Fanfiction. I hope you liked it! Somewhere in the story I was talking about 5 meter and according to my word processor it is equivalent to 16,40 feet/5.47 yard. So that you know it... And feel free to leave a review! )
