"You should know, this is the strangest thing I've ever done!" ~ Flynn Rider. Well, this is certainly not the strangest, but it is up there...!
Wesley woke to the sound of his alarm going off. The phone ringtone continued, and he sat up in his bed, taking a deep breath. Reaching over, his hand gracefully found his glasses – and with just as much elegance, he put them on.
The song continued, and he didn't make a move to stop it- only carried it with him as he began his morning routine.
In his pajamas, he stretched across the mat on his living room floor – a bone cracking as he moved into the yoga position.
Minutes later he was in the kitchen, eggs cooking in his skillet. Stoic, he watched them sizzling. Once the edges turned white and the yellow was glazed over with a pale color, he carefully flipped it onto a plate and turned off the fire.
Breakfast was silent other than his ringer continuing to sing the same oddly-upbeat song.
Once finished, he strode back into his bedroom and dressed in a previously selected suit. He stood in front of the full mirror, straightening his color and breathing deeply through his nose. "Have you made the necessary arrangements?" he spoke to the mirror, then paused for a moment. "My employer…Will be… Will." He hummed and slightly tilted his head for a moment.
He moved onto his next task – which was of shaving and combing his hair. Once finished, he strolled back into his kitchen, and began brewing a cup of coffee.
His ringtone stopped and turned to a buzzing vibration – a call. Calmly, he picked up, and took a deep breath before speaking, "Sir?"
Fisk's voice on the other end told him to discuss the current situation with the Ranskahovs.
After ending the call, Wesley poured his black coffee into a to-go mug, and purposefully made his way out of his house; taking a moment to straighten his jacket, then go to his car, humming his alarm all the while.
God bless!
