Taiga shivered in her bed that Ryuuji, her husband, and her shared. It was a freezing cold winter night, and Ryuuji was up late working on a paper for his work.

The twenty-six year old, slid off the bed, dragging her heavy blanket behind her, and began walking through the halls, toward the only room with a light on, the living room. The small girl was carrying the rather heavy blanket on her back, trying hard not to collapse under it's weight.

Right when she was about to get to her destination, she tripped on the blanket, hitting the ground with loud 'THUNK!'

"Ugh…"

"Taiga? What are you doing up? Are you okay?" her blue haired husband, got up and kneeled at her side, his hand reached out. She took it and he helped her up.

"It…it's cold! I can't get any sleep…at least not without you…" she said, a frustrated note in her voice, as her teeth chattered. Ryuuji shook his head slowly, a strong urge to roll his eyes at his wife.

"So you're saying that you want me to drop work which I have to get done by tomorrow unless I wanna lose my job, and go to bed so you aren't cold?"

"I - you - Just shut up and hold me!" Taiga said, a blush blossoming on her face. Ryuuji just smirked, and thought, 'She's not gonna take no as an answer. *Sigh…* I guess I can work whenever she's asleep.'

He grabbed her hand (she grabbed the heavy blanket as he did…she didn't wanna leave that behind,) and dragged her over to the couch, pulling her into him. She put her hands in front of her to cushion the impact. She closed her eyes, listening to the soft beat of his heartbeat. She instantly warmed up. She sighed contentedly.

Ryuuji threw the blanket over them both.

"…Thank you…" Taiga said quietly.

A few minutes of cuddling in each other's warmth, Taiga was sound asleep. At least that's what Ryuuji thought as he tried to move to finish his work, when Taiga clutched onto his hand with an iron grip and mumbled, "Where do you think your going?"

Ryuuji sighed and just went with it. He would get the work done, but for now he had to please the needy, stubborn, love of his life.
