The Ouran clock tolled, marking each hour that had passed with a loud clang.

10:00 at night, a half-hour past curfew. Anyone caught outside would be severely punished. But that didn't matter to one first year girl. In fact, if anyone were to look down onto the school grounds, they would see a small figure flitting across the courtyard, sticking to the shadows as much as possible as she made her way over to the base of the clock tower.
Mei Suzuki was determined to succeed in her covert retrieval mission. Even if she failed and received a detention, she knew that in the end, it would still have been worth it.
She reached the base of the clock tower without any difficulty, despite the full moon and colorful, yet crunchy, leaves that coated the ground. Two figures were already there, clearly waiting for her. She walked toward the pair, her eyes shooting to the package one held then back to their faces. Her heart began to beat faster in excitement.
"Did you bring it?" she asked, stopping in front of them. They rolled their eyes in unison.
"Yes, we brought it." Karou said, adjusting his grip on the package he held. "And in exchange...?" he prompted.
"In exchange, I'll do both yours homework for a week."
The twins exchanged a look. "A week?" they asked, clearly unimpressed. Mei huffed in exasperation.
"Fine, fine, a month then."
"Now, that's more like it." Hikaru said smugly. Karou handed Mei the package, which she promptly opened to reveal a swath of light blue fabric. She then proceeded to clutch the package to her chest and squeal like a fan-girl at her first convention.
"You guys are the best!" she exclaimed. "How did you manage to get an extra boy's uniform?"
"It wasn't really all that difficult" Karou said with a small shrug.
"What do you have against dresses, anyway?" Hikaru asked as Mei turned to leave.
Well," she explained, "dresses are not exactly my thing, especially if they're high-necked, banana yellow, train-wrecks."
