Soul was sitting on the bench, watching the gang play basketball. Or should I say, Kid and Black*Star? Patty and Liz had dragged Tsubaki and Maka shopping. They were bound to show up sooner or later.
Kid scored, and won the game. This of course, set Black*Star off.
"I'm going to beat you at this game! Just wait, I'll be back" Black*Star said, running off to find the girls. This left Soul and Kid alone.
Soul and Kid had become pretty good friends over the year they had known each other. Aside from his symmetry issue, Kid was a pretty cool guy. Kid walked over and sat down next to Soul on the bench.
"Think he'll be back soon?" Kid asked.
"Eh, it's possible." Soul replied.
Things had finally calmed down after the Kishin had been defeated. The school and city had been rebuilt. Marie went back to her relaxing job, and Stein returned as a teacher. Spirit was still the insane yet….somewhat loveable father. Lord Death gave out random chops, and Sid…was…still a zombie, like always. Students had restarted classes, and everyone had moved on.
For our favorite group, one thing remained though. They had wanted Soul to play the piano for them. They had of course gotten that, but they hadn't had the time to enjoy the sound. So, evil schemers they were, the group had devised a plan. It was called, 'Talk soul into Playing'.
And Kid had been the prime candidate to do it. So, returning, let's see how well it turned out.
"I'm glad everything has calmed down finally. And now the school is perfectly symmetrical again!" Kid said with stars shining in his eyes.
"Yeah, now me and Maka can finally get out 100 souls." Soul said.
Perfect time. "Ah yes. That reminds me. We never got to hear you play the piano and fully enjoy it." Kid replied. "Would you play for us?"
Soul sat there, mulling over what Kid had said. He had already played for them….But, it might be nice to play again, without the risk of going mad. It would make them happy, and they wouldn't bug him for a while about it. He weighed the pros and cons of it. After a few minutes, he responded.
"Alright. I'll play."
Just than, everyone else walked back in, and heard what he saie. Actually, they had just hidden and eavesdropped.
A/N: I know the ending sucked, but I'll post the next chapter soon.
