Chapter 1: Plot
~Adora's POV~
It all started when I was born in the year of 1920's. I was good friends with Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. I was born with powers of fire, I had a second set of powers that I didn't unlock yet. Me and Bucky joined the army before Steve joined. Steve, Bucky and I all fought against the Nazi's and Hydra. Me and Bucky where helping Steve on a Hydra train when me and Bucky fell off the train. I only got manor cuts and bruises, as for Bucky, He lost an arm. I stayed by him till Hydra soldiers found us and took us to their hideout. Me and Bucky were tortured till we broke, we both got brainwashed and Bucky got Trigger words in his head. I didn't have trigger words. I was known as Fire bird to Hydra and Bucky was known as the winter soldier.
Me and Bucky worked as team members and we both got iced after every mission. When the year 2012 came around, Bucky disappeared and I was informed that Bucky died in action. I didn't cry at all but wished I was gone from this place like Bucky did. I also unlocked my second set of powers. I stopped aging when I turned 22 years old. Around 2013, I was iced when Bucky with the Avengers came to get files and Bucky noticed me still iced. He told Steve and Wanda about me and they nodded. Steve uniced me and Wanda made sure I was still out cold. I didn't come to till I was in the Jet, I noticed Bucky and didn't speak to Steve. He ushered Bucky over to help. I soon spoke in English.
"S...Steve?..." I said.
"You know who I was do you? Do you know anything back in the 1920's?" He asked.
"You always gets into fights. Me and Bucky had to save you from a bully and you stuff newspapers in your shoes," I said.
Steve was surprised by that. He even told me I still look like my teen self and I chuckles softly. Wanda came over and I flinched. She told me that she wouldn't gonna hurt me and I nodded. I let her into my head to piece back my memories. The jet landed and Wanda helped me walk into the tower. I noticed Thor keeping his brother, Loki, Company as Steve, Bucky, Wanda, Natasha and me came into the tower. I could feel Loki looking at me and I didn't like it. I was led to a Medic wing and sat on the bed. Bruce checked me out and run some tests. Steve reported to Nick Fury about the mission and got me from a Hydra base. So Nick said that there should be a private court for me and Loki to see if we can be redeemed because of our actions and Steve nodded. I was released and Natasha handed me some spare clothes to use till Tony got a room ready for me and Pepper, Tony's wife, could get clothes for me and I nodded.
As 3 months from now was the private court date for me and Loki. Steve and Bucky were there to support me and Thor was there for Loki. I didn't look at Loki and I knew that he was looking at me. I was first and I got redeemed and they knew it wasn't me that was being controlled. Soon it was Loki's turn, it was 2 hours till he got redeemed for his actions. I was happy to get redeemed and I used the code name Shield gave me. It was Phoenix and I liked it. As we made it to the Tower, I talked to Thor for the first time and he said that I was going to be ok and I nodded.
After a month or 2, I was good to go on Missions. So I went on a mission with Loki. I didn't talk to Loki, but Loki talked to me first. I told him that we have to stay focus on the mission and not to get distracted. He nodded and the Jet stopped. I got up and jumped out, Loki thought I was insane but soon followed. He landed on a fire platform and I told him it wouldn't hurt him and he nodded. We made it to the base and fought every hydra agents and hydra soldiers. We stayed focus on the mission and I had to ask Steve or Bucky to calm me down from my soldier mode and they agreed. After the mission, I was still in my soldier mode as I exited the jet. Bucky told me that the mission was complete and got me out of the soldier mode. Loki was surprised by what Bucky did.
