"Dean? Are you okay?"
The only thing that scared Sam more than the typical 'I'm fine' response, was no response at all.
"Dean?"
"Actually, feel a little weird."
Instantly Sam was kneeling at his brother's side, one hand on his pulse, one on his forehead checking for fever. "You're burning up. How long have you been feeling this way?"
"Since this morning."
"Dean-"
"I swear. I woke up with it. And it's been getting worse. What's happening?" And if his voice shook, Sam ignored it.
"Okay, it's okay. We'll figure it out."
