V-Day One Shot
KageHina
"THAT'S TWO FOR TWO!" The orange haired first year screamed at the black haired boy as they heaved to catch their breath after racing to practice, as they did every morning for the past year.
"Tsk, whatever." Kageyama scowled as he held his hands above his head to catch his breath. After racing for two semesters with this kid, he never got over how cute Hinata looked out of breath and smiling.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Hinata asked, his fear showing as he looked to find a smiling Kageyama staring at him.
"Eto…" Red cheeks stood out against his black hair as he quickly turned away and picked his bag up.
"Nothing. We have a practice match. Lets go!"
"TOSS TO ME!" Hinata yelled as he jumped, dripping in sweat, ready for the ball to fill his hand and score a point once again. The winning point. With full trust in his setter he jumped with his eyes closed and prepped to spike. He swung and the familiar feeling of the ball hitting his hand at a high speed came back as it stung his palm. Bright eyes opened as he watched the split second it took for the ball to hit the court, the buzzer to sound, and a whistle to blow to signal they had just scored the winning point. Practice match or not, he young spiker landed and a smile consumed his face as he looked over at his setting also smiling. Before he knew it, Hinata ran over and jumped into Kageyama's arms, his legs and arms wrapping tightly around the tall boy, his hands gripping the jersey.
"We did it!" The little ball of sunshine yelled into his partners face. Kageyama used one arm to wrap around Hinata's body, and the other to cup his face and kiss his spiker.
"Of course we did, because together, we're invincible." Hinata could now feel himself blushing as both boys sprung away from each other, their faces red as ever. The team looked on and laughed at the first years who finally admitted their feelings for each other, now on their hands and knees, hiding their faces with embarrassment of their public display of affection.
The boys silently ate their meat buns as the walked home hand in hand.
"I'm sorry I didn't get you anything for Valentines day, since we had the practice match and all." Kageyama mumbled and looked down, blushing again.
"Being able to play volleyball with you is the only present I need. Besides, why only show appreciation for the person you love on one specific day? I love you everyday Kageyama." Hinata looked up innocently at his setter, stopping in front of him.
"Damn you, dumbass Hinata" Kageyama blushed harder and grabbed the boy and hugged him tightly to his chest, his hands getting lost rubbing along his neck and back.
"I love you so much Hinata. Happy Valentine's Day." He whispered into the boy's orange hair before lifting his head from his chest and kissed him gently.
