Prologue

Pandora's box. An item that came from myths, but always, no matter who told the story, was described to be filled with terrible evil. A story thousands of years old that people used to believe— only for it to become a fleeting thought in the future.

Of course, there were still people who believed in its existence and spent their days searching for it, their desire to possess an evil beyond their imagination consuming them. Unfortunately, most stuck to the belief that they were looking for a box, never once thinking over the fact that it might be another item.

In Japan, was a small town called Namimori. Small and quiet, most people didn't even know of its existence. Yet somehow, after searching for the box on leads that shouldn't have even been considered, a teenager found himself standing by and old shrine that looked over the entire town. Heterochromatic eyes glinted as he watched a black fog surround Namimori, isolating it from the rest of the world. His gloved hands gripped onto a silver, jewelled trident as a smirk crossed his lips, an amused expression flickering across his face.

He watched the fog thicken, yet there was no panic. As if the fog wasn't even noticed. Like it was a natural occurrence. Slowly, he started to walk down the steps that led up to the shrine, chuckling to himself, before closing his eyes, only to open them a few moments later, his right eye glowing a bright crimson.

"So Pandora... Of all the places you could have chosen to hide, you chose to be walking around, open to threat— but as stupid as the decision was, it was clever at the same time. For thousands of years you have been missing. Too bad I've found you now~"
