New Thunderclan Book I: Guided by Fire and Sand

Summary: Lion, Night, Rain, and Cloud are ordinary rouges. They've never heard of the clans. And why would they? They were all destroyed by The Dark Forest. But when each rouge gets a message from Firestar, they find themselves working together to rebuild the clans. Will they succeed? Or fail like the others?

Armies of cats padded across the forest under the cloak of darkness. Their red eyes glinted evilly, and their claws were stained with blood. They arrived at a clearing, when a cat at the front sent a silent signal to attack. The creatures marched forward, lunging toward four cats. The two females looked like exact opposites, one with fluffy white fur and blue eyes, and the other with sleek black fur and orange eyes. The third, a tom, had gray striped fur and green eyes. Then, there was the fourth. Lion stood there, his dark amber eyes fearful, and his golden pelt shaking. Then…the dark cats struck.

Lion's eyes jolted open. He breathed heavily, panicked.

"It was just a dream." He said to himself. He sounded both surprised and relieved. The same nightmare had invaded his dreams again and again, for as long as he could remember. He called the red-eyed cats Dark Cats of the Forest, for every night, they emerged from the forest in his dreams with dark pelts and evil eyes, devoid of all emotion. But what did it mean? The dream must have had some value, for if it didn't, then why did it bother him so, disrupting his pleasant dreams, practically erasing them from his mind? He shrugged it off and decided to hunt. Lion darted through the forest until he came to a tree with a hollow trunk.

"Hello? Frost? Are you there?" Suddenly, a beautiful white she-cat with stunning silver eyes pounced on him. She gave a purr of amusement.

"Gotcha!" She meowed happily. Lion merely sighed.

"Whatever. Wanna go hunting? I found a good spot by the lake." Frost thought for a moment.

"But that's the Modern Pride's territory. They'll rip us to pieces!"

"A few mangy territory-stealers won't stop me from getting a decent meal! Stay here if you want, but I'm going." And with that, he padded away. As he looked over his shoulder back at Frost, he noticed that she was wavering. Finally, with a sigh of defeat, she proclaimed, "Fine. I'll go with you, but only because I'm starving." The pair ran towards the lake when suddenly, Lion felt as if he were being watched. He spun around to see a large, muscular brown tom with one white paw and green eyes. His black collar had several teeth sticking out of it, from dogs, badgers, cats, and who knows what else. Frost and Lion were soon surrounded by other cats with similar collars.

"Where do you think you're going?"

That was my first one. Please R&R! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm very depressed right now. I think I'll go take a nap.
