Finished Tasks

Kagome sat in Kaede's hut, stroking Shippou's fur as he slept in her lap. It had been two days since they defeated Naraku. He was finally gone, and they had all the Jewel Shards.

Kagome half expected to never be able to go back into the feudal era once the Shards were finished. And she also didn't know what to go back for. But she soon decided to go back for her friends, but mostly Inuyasha.

Inuyasha had grown nicer over the years. Still had his selfish attitude, but that was easily fixed by a, 'I will go home and never return,' by Kagome.

Sango hasn't changed much, still in the beginning of her romance with Miroku; she doesn't feel like jumping into anything at the moment after just having such an exhausting battle. Miroku understands but still pushes it a bit.

Miroku also hasn't changed. Still a pervert but doesn't go around to many random girls and asks them to bear his child. Even though he would love to, he wants to have Sango more than anyone, and yes, his Wind Tunnel has disappeared. For good.

Shippou is about 2 feet taller. Still can just barely fit in Kagome's arms. He is beginning to be a handsome young kit. Like most, human looks, but has a tail.

He also grew out of his normal clothing. Now wears something more like Kouga's the only difference is that Shippou's is black and has some aqua like his last clothing. It was just like Kouga's because Kagome couldn't think of any special clothing she could make from her sewing kit, and she always liked Kouga's wardrobe, so, she took her sewing stuff down and made clothing modeled after Kouga's. Kouga was more than happy to stand there and let Kagome eye him up and down. Even though she was just trying to get nice clothing for her adopted son; Kouga always saw it as something special.

Kagome looked up at the heavens. Stars scattered all over the place like a ceiling with those glow-in-the-dark stickers on them. Thinking of those reminded her of her home in the 20th century. She sighed and watched as a shooting star shot by. She didn't know what to wish for; she had everything she wanted.

But she still made a little one.

Kagome sighed once again and rose. Slowly setting down Shippou, making sure she would wake him. She started to walk out of the hut.

"Where are ye going?" Kaede asked from her spot just outside of her home.

"Just for a little walk," she answered.

"Be careful."

Kagome nodded then started for the woods.

She loved this place, no sound of cars going by, no pollution in the air. It was so peaceful.

Normally she wouldn't go near the forest at nighttime without Inuyasha, but the moon was so bright and full that it lit up the whole surroundings.

It wasn't long until Kagome heard rustling in the bushes. She stiffened up and waited for her death that might come.

After a few minutes someone came out.

It was man, with black hair and it most definitely not Inuyasha.
