Baby makes five.

I'm staring at the most beautiful site in the world. I can't stop smiling its contagious as I look around the room and see everyone else is too.

Daniel is sitting close and just staring and Teal'c is by the bed standing watch daring anyone to disturb the scene in front of him.

I pinch myself to make sure it's not a dream because if it is I don't want to wake up. I'd be happy to stay here for the rest of my life.

The door opens and the nurse comes in to check on the two most important people of my life.

My wife looks worried this is all new to her and one thing I know about her is she loves to be in control. I told her it would all change once the baby was here.

No amount of planning or books she's read about parenthood would be able to show her how to be a mother. She was nervous the last couple of months wondering if it was wise that she be given the responsibility of raising a child.

I quelled her fears telling her she was going to be a great mom because she had turned a broken down soldier into the man I am today.

The baby lets out a cry not happy to be taken from her mothers arms. Teal'c raises an eyebrow and Daniel asks why she needs to place the baby into the bassinet and asks if it was necessary to separate mother and child.

The nurse is not sure and I walk over and take my daughter from her arms. I tell her if I could hold her and she surrenders my bundle of joy into my arms.

The miracle of my life came into this world screaming bloody murder but it was music to my ears. I thought I was going to pass out when I finally got to see the squirming life that came from the love me and Sam shared.

I tuck her into my arms and she's still crying. I start to rock back and forth and she begins to quiet down. She stops and lets out a yawn and opens here eyes to me.

I never thought I would have a second chance but here in this room all of my dreams have come true.

Family, that's what I see when I look at the people in front of me. My life was darkness before but the light has returned to my life. The people in this room I would lay my life down for in a second as they would do the same to protect me and my daughter.

I am grateful to have them here to share this moment with me and Sam. Our lives are complete.

I walk over to Sam and she pats the space next to her and I sit. I put my arm around her and kiss her temple. She rests her head on my shoulder and looks at our miracle.

The door opens and another delivery of flowers comes through the door.

I muttered under my breath only for her to hear that didn't those men at the SGC know she was married?

She giggles and Daniel asks the delivery guy to take our picture.

Daniel stands next to me and Teal'c next to Sam. My family and our newest addition Olivia Grace O'Neill made five.
