"Can you hear it?" Danny thought to himself.
There was no one there just the rain, slowly falling from the dark stormy sky. Fate has taken it's course, slowly devouring poor Daniel's fragile and balanced life. Pit pat pit pat, the rhythm was soothing, almost a lullaby from the heavens. Almost telling Daniel that it was okay, okay to slowly close your eyes and loose the remainder of your life.
"Sam ? Tucker? Can you hear me? Do you know how sorry I am that I failed again, I couldn't keep them away this time." Danny whispered these thoughts out loud knowing they would fall onto deaf ears.
That's when the first chuckled erupted, slowly bursting through his lips. He clutched his abdomen still in pain from the deep oozing cut. Wiping his forehead with his other hand he sighed.
"What a slow agonizing death" He thought to himself.
The rain started to flow a little faster, getting heavier and heavier with every breath Daniel took. Before he knew it he was soaked, his white hair seemed glued to his forehead weighed down by the water.
A second chuckle burst from Daniel this time it was longer more insane like. He looked up to the sky, "This is how you repay me? Fuck you, fuck everyone. Fate's a bitch."
Suddenly he took in a sharp breath slowly sinking further into the ground Daniel allowed himself to lay completely flat. He never got to go to prom or ask Sam on a date. Life was short for him, life was cruel. There was so many things he didn't get to do and that made him angry. It would make anyone angry.
He couldn't help but notice the darkness clouding his vision. It was almost the end he was sure of it now. The rain was unforgiving thinning the blood out from a thick puddle to a thin skim on the pavement.
Suddenly laughter filled the cold dark night, it got louder and louder. Until suddenly it was silent. The night carried on as if it never lost one of it's hero's.
