"Ronald Weasley! When was the last time you cleaned your room?" "Uh... well... it was...at Christm... no, well, it must have been... oh! It was before we went to go rescue Harry!" "Went to... you mean when you stole your father's car and did one of the stupidest things you've ever--" "Yeah, mum, that time." "But that was a year ago!" "Sounds about right, yeah." Molly Weasley put her hands on her hips and made The Face. Ron knew, knew that he wasn't going to enjoy what she was about to say. "You are going to clean this room. Now." "But mum, it's not that bad!" She pursed her lips and wiped a finger on a wobbly shelf. "Look at that dust! It's got to be 2 centimeters thick!" "You're exaggerating! It's... well, only one centimeter at the most!" "And just look at that pile of dirty robes! How can you stand the smell?" "Well, I... got used to it." This was not entirely true; Ron had in fact been considering thinking about doing something to alleviate the odor, but he had decided to do it later. And besides, who was she to tell him his room smelled? She didn't have to live there! "I mean it! This room had better be spotless, or there is no way you're going to the World Cup this summer!" Ron's eyes grew wide. "And don't think I'm kidding!" She slammed the door and stalked back downstairs. He sighed, and started digging through piles. It was going to be a long day. Ron's eyes narrowed... these weren't his. And that definitely wasn't his. He smiled, scooped them up, and stuffed them into a drawer. The twins should be here right about... "Ron! Hey Ron!" "We heard Mum's making you clean your room, rough deal!" "Yeah, we wanted to help!" Ron tried to hide his amusement. He knew he'd definitely get the job done sooner if they were helping him. And hopefully, he thought, this would teach them an important lesson about trying to hide their Rocky Horror Picture Show floorshow costumes amongst their innocent little brother's dirty laundry.
