A/N: You know, I've just realised. Not only do I have an annoying habbit of only reviewing stories untill the last avalible chapter, I also keep starting new stories before I know what's going to happen with the old ones. Bother. Hopeful I'll continue this one. Hmm I wonder, what on ever could this be a parody of. First one to guess wins 500 points and a virtual cookie Lol.

This storys written for my amusement and to get the idea out of my head so I could finish my corse work. I own nothing but madness...and even thats a photocopy. Mixture of book/film verse, with some quotes stirred in :D Enjoy...

Michael Banks was beginning to get tired of sitting by his sisters, his brother, his nanny and the chimney sweep in the park, and having nothing to do. Once or twice he'd looked over at the book his eldest sister was reading. She was reading it avidly but it seemed very girly and silly to him. He was sure the adventures they'd had with Mary Poppins were more exciting then the ones Jane was imaging. "And what use is a book," thought Michael, "with no pirates or dragons?" He considered, (which was getting very hard to do, as the warm day was making him feel very stupid and sleepy,) what he could do to entertain himself.

Asking Mary Poppins would be a silly thing to do, as it would only make the nanny cross. He could pull silly faces at Annabel and rock her pram, but that could wake her if she was napping, which would make both her and the nanny even crosser. He wondered whether teaching his second youngest sister to make a daisy chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the little flowers. It probably wouldn't, as that too seemed very girly and silly to him (and beside Barbra would only start eating them). Showing John how to fly a kite didn't seem to be working as, despite Bert's help, his little yellow kite kept crashing back to the ground. "Well, he is only little," Michael contemplated as he half heartedly clambered to his feet, "Maybe I'll give him a hand…"

Suddenly a white rabbit ran close by him.

There was nothing very remarkable about that you may imagine. Odd maybe, for a white rabbit with pink little eyes, to be running wild, in a public park, located near the centre of one of Europe's biggest and busiest cities, miles away from any British hedge row.

Odd, but not remarkable. But then again, for a for a white rabbit with pink little eyes, to be running wild, in a public park, located near the centre of one of Europe's biggest and busiest cities, miles away from any British hedge row, to be muttering repeatedly to itself, "I'm late! Too late!" was a little more then odd. So perhaps there was something remarkable about it after all.

Had Michael Banks been thinking at all, it may have occurred to him that this was indeed a little odd and would be best to perhaps leave well alone. But being Michael Banks (and being the charge of a some-what-supernatural nanny might have also had something to do with this), he didn't, and took off following the Rabbit. Despite confused calls to halt from his siblings, his nanny and his friend, and the sense that they'd dropped every thing to hurry after him, Michael dashed on, burning with curiosity as to what exactly the rabbit was late for.

Past the lake, past the rose garden, past the bandstand they ran, when the Rabbit suddenly dived down into a small hole that'd been dug under a tree. A wiser boy would have looked where he was going, and skidded to a halt but Michael Banks, merely crashed in to the tree. One dazed moment later (after staggering to his feet and using many of the curses he would be scolded for knowing,) down Michael went after the White Rabbit, never once considering how in the world he was to get out again…
