For the first day of my the 30 day prompt challenge. It's not great, but it's the first anything of substance I've written in a long time so I'm pretty pleased with myself. Hope you enjoy. Reviews are nice.

Wally couldn't stop staring, but he guessed that was just his paternal instincts kicking in or something. She was just so tiny. She looked like a little doll or something, like the ones his cousins used to force him to play with. She wasn't all squishy and weird looking anymore, like she was a few hours ago. And he couldn't get his head around that. Hours! She's been alive for mere hours and she'd already won the hearts of half the metahuman population of the world. Dick, Kori and M'gann had just left, so him and Lucky were on their own for the first time since the baby was born. She was catching up on her rest (much to her annoyance) while he lounged beside, their baby girl asleep in his arms.

"Mmm…how's she doing?" Lucky mumbled through the pillow.

"You should be sleeping. Aren't ya tired?" He questioned.

"Exhausted." She stretched out under the blanket. "I've never been able to sleep well in hospitals. Who put a blanket on me?" She propped up her pillow and sat up to watch the baby.

"That would be Star. She thought you looked cold." Lucky rolled her eyes, but he knew she appreciated it. She still looked a bad state, having not had much time to wash and freshen up. "Oh and Iris dropped in while you were sleeping. She went to get some coffee, but that was like half an hour ago. I guess she wanted to give us some privacy. Uncle B's on a League thing but he'll get here after he's taken in Volcana."

Lucky nodded lazily, she still hadn't taken her eyes off the baby. It was so weird that she was there Right there. She's been inside her yesterday and now she was there, in Wally's arms.

"We should give her a name soon. Like, an official one. The nurses keep calling her Baby West and it's getting kinda annoying."

"I don't know. I still wanna call her Iris."

"But that's your aunt's name"

"Yeah, exactly."

"Well, wouldn't that get confusing? I thought we were gonna make her middle name Iris, anyway?"

"I thought you wanted your Mum's name as her middle name?"

"Oh yeah. Well, I still like Angela as a first name and I ain't budging"

"Not even a little bit?" He made a pouty face at her. She glared.

"Hey, I spent the last nine monthsmaking her! I should get to choose the name."

"You know, you're not as intimidating when you're drowsy." She rolled her eyes and slumped into the pillow, but there was no real venom in it. There was a moment of silence as they stared at the sleeping child, the gentle rise and fall of her little chest.

"Angela-Iris?" Lucky broke the silence.

"Hmm?"

"Angela-Iris West. Then she could still have Eliza as her middle name. What do ya think?"

Wally raised an eyebrow at his girlfriend.

"Don't you think Angela-Iris sounds a little…serious?"

Lucky smirked. "Yeah sure, Wallace Rudolph…"

"Hey, that's my middle name. It doesn't count." The baby started to wiggle about a little. Wally clutched her a little tighter to his chest and she seemed to calm down a little. He grinned fondly.

"You know what, Angela-Iris sounds great. Angie. Angie West." Lucky couldn't help but manage a tired smile.

"Hey there, Angie…" She stroked Angie's head lightly. Wally scootched up a little and kissed Lucky on the crown of her head.

"I love you" She smiled down at her. She moved up to kiss him on the lips and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing internally.

"Right back at ya, Hot Rod…"
