I Had To Let Her Go
Chapter 1
By: Harold Finch and Grace Luvr
Author's Note: Another poem that came to me whilst sitting in class. This will probably be the last poem until late June because, I need to start paying attention if I want to pass. XD Anyways, reviews are appreciated as always, and please enjoy! :D
Harold's POV
Grace Hendricks. The love of my life. Her angelic beauty warmed my heart, her fiery red hair touched my soul. Her enchanting voice flowed through my ears. Her smile was my strength. Her tears my kryptonite. However, this was the past. Now I live in the future. A future without runs in Central Park. A future without trips to the art gallery, or birthday scavenger hunts. A future without her. Instead, I live in a future surrounded by vigilantes, killers, computer monitors, and electronic devices that watch your every move. I need my old life, my better life. Much like a thirsty, dying man needs a glass of water. But alas, no matter how greatly I long for my past, I will always be stuck in my future. I miss her most of all. My beloved. My soul mate. I watch her from afar now, and I'm afraid that she can never discover my secret. But, deep down in my heart, I know that in order to keep her safeā¦. I had to let her go.
