Clary's 3rd person view
Clary woke up in a cold sweat. In her dream an boy came to her, golden hair, golden eyes and almost golden skin. He almost had an angelic look. "Clary, Clary wake up," Jocelyn called from downstairs. She could feel her messy hair framing her face in fiery red curls on the pillow. She rolled out of bed, literally rolled, and walked to the shower. When she got out she saw her mum had put out hunting clothes on her bed. She must be doing training at the institute today. She put on her clothes and grabbed the stele from her desk and went downstairs.
Jocelyn had made breakfast, buttermilk pancaked. Realizing she only had half an hour to get there, she ate them quickly and ran out the door, Simon was waiting outside the apartment for her. They left together racing down the streets with a glamour on.
They had been told last week that a new family was coming to the institute soon, but not when exactly. So for the last week Simon and Clary had never been late, they didn't want to make a bad impression on the new family.
When they got to the institute they saw Hodge talking to a family of four they all looked alike except for the blonde one. Clary felt faint, the boy looked just like the boy from her dreams. Golden hair, golden eyes and almost golden skin though in real life he looked even more angelic. She felt dizzy and black spots were encircling her vision. The last thing she saw before she fainted was the blonde boy moving faster than possible to her and diving under her to stop her fall.
Jace's 3rd person view
Jace woke up with a start. He'd been having nightmares for weeks about a girl with green eyes and an angelic face, the perfect girl. He jumped out of bed, literally jumped, and walked over to the window. He drew back the curtains and thought, 'this is my last day in Idris.' He had a shower and got dressed into jeans and a frayed t shirt. He went downstairs and had some breakfast that Maryse had cooked. They left soon after for the portal
The Lightwoods had gone through the portal at exactly 7:00 am. They'd been give their room keys and numbers, put their bags in their rooms and then gone downstairs to start training. turns out over the past year the institute had grown and grown and there were now 293 shadowhunters in-training.
Jace was looking around at the halls of the institute when the two front doors burst open. No one else seemed to notice so he suspected it was a common thing. A red-headed girl had come through the doors with a brown headed boy on her heels. Though he'd just met her he did think she was beautiful, her hair was wild and untamed and it surrounded her small pixie-like face.
She looked at Jace like he was a ghost, but there was something in her eyes that made him think they'd met before. She turned pale and was swaying around. She fainted but just before she hit the ground, Jace swooped in like an eagle and cushioned her fall. He took her to the infirmary, upon directions from Hodge and put her down on a bed. He sat on a chair next to the bed, hoping to be able to stay there until she woke up.
