Dalek Caan VS the Paternoster Gang

"But it is a brilliant idea! Untold destruction and misery!" Strax grinned at Vastra, the dustbin lids he called his hands slamming on the table in excitement.

Vastra exchanged an annoyed look with Jenny, who returned it, and then looked back at Strax.

"No, Strax. I am not helping you to break into 10 Downing Street so that you can declare war on Metebelis Three!" she almost screamed, taking a long, long swig of her tea before placing it back on the table they all sat at.

"But it will bring war and sport!" Strax almost squealed with delight, looking at Jenny for support but he only found her rolling her eyes. "The spiders will mount an assault on the Earth and then there will be blood everywhere! It is a flawless plan!"

"No, it ain't!" said Jenny, shooting a look of disbelief at Strax.

"And why is that, boy?" Strax retorted, annoyed at someone criticizing his marvellous plan for war and bloodshed.

"Because of exactly what you just said." Madame Vastra growled, severely close to hitting Strax.

Before she had the chance to do so, however, the teacups began to rattle. And then the tables and chairs. And then the whole room began to shake, teacups crashing to the floor. There was a huge crackling of blue energy in the corner of the room and something gold, terrifying and topped with a blue eyestalk stood there.

"EMERGENCY TEMPORAL SHIFT SUCESSFUL. SCANNING ENVIROMENT." There was a slight pause as the creature seemed to scan its surroundings, before it continued. "APROXIMATE DATE: 1894. LOCATION: EARTH. LIFEFORMS DETECTED!"

The Paternoster Gang, who had been sitting paralyzed at the table, suddenly snapped into action as the creature noticed them.

"EXTERMINATE!"

Jenny, Vastra and Strax all dived behind the couch, taking cover as the creature began firing off shots towards them.

"What is that thing?" Vastra asked, looking at Strax, as he would be the one most likely to have the answers.

"It is a Dalek, madam!" Strax cried with delight, rubbing his hands together with glee. "The most terrifying creature in all the universe and we have the opportunity to fight one! Fantastic!"

"Fantastic? Bloody fantastic?" Jenny blurted out in disbelief of Strax's cheer in the face of this enemy. "There had better be a way to defeat that thing or I'll shove you in front of it and show you bloody fantastic!"

Strax grinned another gleeful grin and slowly took something out of his jacket pocket. Something silver and spherical, with a blue line splitting the two halves of it.

"Been saving this for a special occasion!" Strax told the other two, as he twisted the top half to the right and the blue line turned red, emitting a loud beeping noise that began to get faster and faster, before Strax threw it at the Dalek, which promptly stopped firing and looked down at it.

"WARNING. EXPLOSIVE PROJECTILE DETEC-!"

A mighty explosion shook the house and destroyed the windows, spraying glass everywhere inside. An alarm began to sound from the Dalek, as the Paternoster Gang stood up from behind their now demolished couch and stared at their attacker.

"EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! VEKTOZ ENERGY PROJECTILE OVERLOADING POWER SYSTEMS! LARGE POWER USAGE REQUIRED! EMERGENCY TEMPORAL SHIFT!"

And with that, the Dalek glowed with the same blue energy it had originally arrived in and disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, leaving the trio to stare at where it had been in the ruins of their dining room.

A short time past before Strax spoke up with, "Damn! I nearly had the little pepper pot! Oh, well. Better luck next time, eh?"

Carefully stepping over the broken glass, he left the dining room, leaving just Jenny and Vastra in a state of bemusement.

"I'm gonna kill 'im." said Jenny.

"You shall do no such thing." replied Vastra.

"Why not?"

"Because I'm going to kill him first."
