A/N: Alright, normally I don't do this, but thanks to a request from a friend of mine, I have written a little one-shot here for the von Schroeder brothers. No promises that I will ever write anything for them again. That all depends on what everyone thinks of this one. Enjoy and any flames will be ignored.
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh or any of the characters, Kazuki Takahashi does.

After a long, hard, and tiring day of studying, Zigfried von Schroeder collapsed onto his bed, eager to rest. The thunderstorm raging outside didn't even faze the pinknette as he crawled under the bed covers and drifted off to sleep.
Zigrfried's little brother, Leon, on the other hand was having a harder time falling asleep. The younger boy tried to calm himself by curling up in bed with his new fairy tale book, but it wasn't working. He had read the story of Cinderella at least five times now, but he still jumped every time he heard a crash of thunder.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning filled his room with a blaze of light. Terrified, Leon fled from his room, ran down the hallway, threw open the door, and dove straight into the bed of none other than his older brother.
"What the-?" Zigfried's aquamarine eyes opened slowly. "Leon?"
"Sorry, Ziggy" Leon whispered, closing the door. "I got scared..."
"It's just a storm," Zigfried told his brother, rolling on his side and pulling the covers up over his shoulder. "It'll stop soon."
"Can I please stay in here?" Leon asked, his hazel eyes desperate. "Just until it stops?"
His older brother let out an annoyed grumble, sat up, and nodded begrudgingly.
The maroon-haired child grinned and climbed into bed beside his brother.
"Thanks Zigfried," he murmured, cuddling close to the older Schroeder brother.
"Leon, I have to get up very early tomorrow to get an early start on my lessons," Zigfried grunted in reply.
"I hardly ever see you anymore," Leon said, glancing sadly at his brother. "You're always studying and working so hard."
"I have to," Zigfried replied wearily and impatiently. "It's for our family. So we can finally beat the Kaibas."
Without another word, the older boy turned away, leaving Leon to ponder his words.
"I miss you, Zigfried," the child whispered before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
Zigfried felt his kid brother's words tug at his heart strings.
'I miss you too, little brother,' he thought, wishing he could say those words out loud.

Alright, feel free to let me know what you thought of this. But remember to have the decency to not leave flames.
And since this story has been up for two days and no one has bothered to comment, I'm giving it three days before it's deleted.
