Author's Note: My first Beautiful Creatures story. Kind of sloppy, but oh well...not in a happy mood.

Beautiful Evenings

I always cherished the time I spent with him. I didn't care what time of the day it was or what we were doing, going to do. It didn't matter. I always cherished every single moment I had with him, especially the beautiful evenings we shared together. It was always so peaceful and beautiful between us.

As we spent our evenings, we would lounge on the grass together and just stare up at the sky while holding hands. Sometimes we would even just stare into each other's eyes and talk about how we felt about one another. Other times, which happened often, we would just make out underneath the mildly cloudy sky, happy with each other.

How did I get so lucky to have Ethan? I would never know, but I wasn't complaining whatsoever. Why would I even feel the need to complain? He was the only one for me and he was absolutely perfect in my eyes. I loved him so much and I would never dream of not loving him. He always had a place in my heart.

Right now, we were in another one of our beautiful evenings, resting on the green grass and facing the sky. Suddenly, Ethan turned his body towards mine so he was gazing at me instead. I rolled around onto my side to stare right back at him, fighting a smile that desperately tried to color my face.

"Hey, Lena?" he talked, grinning.

"Yeah?" I remarked in question, wondering what he wanted or what he was going to say.

"Let's commit the perfect crime," he commented, lifting a hand and pressing a hand to where my heart was. "I'll steal your heart and you'll steal mine." He brought his hand back to his own chest, gesturing to where his heart was. Now his grin was bigger and he really looked like he wanted to kiss me.

I released an unrestrained burst of laughter, shaking my head a little. "Haven't we already committed that crime, Ethan?" I questioned him, amused and touched by his affections. It always made butterflies flutter around in my belly.

"Hmmm…" he hummed and pretended to think about it for a moment, his arms circling around my waist. "I don't know, have we?"

"I think we have," I responded through another laugh as he pulled me against his body. I could feel the wonderful warmth radiating off of his body and it brought me pure merriment. "I think you know we have."

Ethan chortled for a few minutes before kissing my nose. It was such a sweet gesture that I ended up giggling. I wrapped my arms around him and we just got tangled up in each other's arms, breathing each other's air. After that, we shared kisses and caressed each other lovingly.

It was wonderful.

"Lena?" Ethan whispered softly, arms wrapped around my waist. I somehow ended up on top of him and was just constantly rubbing his cheeks with my hands lovingly.

"Yes, Ethan?" I talked back, wondering what he wanted to say this time.

"I love you."

I smiled happily and gave him a short kiss on his lips. "I love you too, Ethan."
