Jedova shuddered and pressed his arms even closer to his body. The cold wind seemed to dig through his warm clothing and skin deep to the bones.
"I hate winter," he murmured nearly inaudibly. He could not see his Padawan through the hood, but he could sense that the girl had gotten her hood down, letting her dark turquoise hair sway in the wind. Jedova could not understand why someone wanted to live in a place like this voluntarily.
"I wonder why the messenger chose the rendezvous point to be this far," Lucian wondered. They had walked for hours in the snowfall.
"Probably it's once again a Jedi hater who tries to get some of us down. I think he's succeeding on freezing a Jedi Master alive here," Jedova muttered. Lucian looked at her grumpy and freezing Master.
"I don't think it's cold," she noted.
"Well that's just you," Jedova scoffed under his breath. He knew his attitude was not fair towards the young Padawan, but he could not help being grumpy. He had put more clothes on than Lucian and yet he was the one who was freezing.
"There he is," Lucian noted.
Jedova lifted his gaze from the all-too-white ground to look against the wind and snowflakes which did their best to get into his eyes. A figure was close to them.
"Jedi! Over here!" the figure shouted to the wind, being nearly inaudible.
Jedova hurried up. The messenger was a sincere person, he sensed. It seems that this cold wore out most of the mission specific unluckiness this time, Jedova mused and sneezed. This is it if I caught a cold out here. This is so it!
"Master?" Lucian asked. "Are you coming?"
The messenger was going to bring them to his employer with a ship. Jedova felt grateful for that; he did not want to walk all the way back to the city.
"I'm coming," Jedova answered and sneezed again. He groaned. "I've caught a cold."
Lucian grimaced.
"Just don't infect me," she said simply and walked inside the ship. Jedova followed her, making sure he stayed away from the messenger and his Padawan. The last thing they all needed was all of the crew down with a cold on the mission. He, at least, would be stuck at the temple's Halls of Healing as soon as they got back to Coruscant.
Jedova wanted to finish the mission soon and get to rest. He had not been down with a high fever for a long time, and he definitely wanted to keep it so.
Oh the Force, how I hate winter so hard!
