A/N: Gold being a dumbass with a child of his own? Why not?

I personally think Gold would make a good dad. He's reckless and all, but time does things to you, you know? =w= Oh, and my headcanon is that he still works in the Day Care. I don't see him as a housedad but I was too lazy to make any mentions to it. AHA. Btw, I have no idea why I named the child Ai. I don't even know where that came from. It's a japanese word for love, but honestly, I think I saw this somewhere else? D:

Moving on~

A headache decided to test Crystal's patience when she was about to start a fairly meaningful report at the lab. It didn't take long for Professor Oak to notice how the throbbing pain kept on distracting her from her work. He decided to dismiss her as soon as possible, telling her to not worry. After all, Professor Oak knew how concerned with work his favourite assistant is.

Crystal felt tired, sleepy, and all the researcher wanted was to sleep in that big and fluffy bed of hers. However, she was welcomed with a worried Gold, a crying child and a messed up living room instead. Her hand moved to her forehead, the damned headache coming back with full force due to the child's constant crying.

"Gold," she said between grinting teeth. "Entertain her. Please."

The four year old girl insisted on crying loudly for whatever reason. Crystal took a deep sigh and muttered a few curses. That's when Gold knew something was very, very wrong.

"You came home earlier today. Are you fine?"

"Just calm her down. Please."

Gold scoffed, making a ridiculous imitation of her, his voice careful to not be heard. "Just calm her down, Gold, while I sleep in a bunch of pillows and warm blankets—"

Wha-whaa…

"Damn it. Let's play, Ai." he took her in his arms. "Fuck, that sounded like a line from a horror movie."

Gold stared at her straight in the eyes, making different faces. He winked at her, pouted, smiled, puffed his cheeks, made a clown imitation (which he quickly stopped because Ai started crying even louder). No result. Explotaro was passing by the living room, his flames not as strong as it used to be in the golden days.

"Ta…ro!"

"Taro? Ah, yes. Come here for a sec, Explotaro, for God's sake."

The Volcano Pokémon approached them. Or better, her. He completely ignored Gold and nuzzled Ai instead.

"Ouch. You traitor."

Ai's tears turned into a delighted smile, her giggles eventually reverberating around the living room. While that happy scene was unfold, her father hit his head purporsely in the corner of the room. "

Traitor…" A smell of smoke suddenly came from the kitchen, snapping him out of his thoughts and remembering Gold of something he had left on the stove.

"Don't let the food burn. Did you hear me? Gold?"

"Fuck! Ow, fuck! You know what, fuck that cake! Fuck the universe while you're at it!"

"Papa, what's fuck?"

… …

"Ai, don't ever mention this to Mama. Ever. You heard me?"

"O…k?"

When Ai tilted her head, her small hands playing behind her back, he supressed the urge to squeal. "Aw, come here! You're cute like Crys, I feel like hugging you forever!"

"No," she waved her finger left and right cutely, "I like Taro!"

Hearing Ai say this felt like a sword pierced through his heart. "Ouch. Okay then," Gold said, wishing his daughter would feel sorry for him, "I'm really hurt, Ai."

She coldly ignored him and continued to play with Explotaro.

"You're a tsundere like your Mom." Gold felt someone's hand slapping the back of his head. Crystal stood there in all might. However, being the complete idiot he is (as Silver kindly adressed him as), the hatcher retorted back.

"The fuck!? You so are one!"

"Don't curse in front of her!"

"So you didn't deny it—"

His sentence was cut short by Ai's unexpected phrase. "Don't fight!"

The two adults were both stunned. The room fell silent.

Silence.

Silence.

"She really took after you, you know."
