Down at his old shop Jason worked on his bike giving it a tune up. When Lexi stopped in wanting to give him a hand; he hadn't thought much about the reason why she wanted to. Honestly he was just happy to hang out with his daughter. Now that she was in her late teens; Jason knew he would get less of her time. It was hard to think about her leaving for college in a few short years.

"Dad," Lexi questioned drawing Jason out of his thoughts.

"Yeah," Jason looked over at his baby girl.

"Mom always says you guys just knew from the moment you saw me. That I was meant to be a Morgan... It's a nice story, but," Lexi trailed off at the end.

"For your mother it was love at first sight I think," Jason sat up knowing this conversation was a long time coming.

"Think," Lexi questioned him.

"We had just lost Lila about a month before. At first I wasn't sure if this was Sam's grief. Slowly I realized your mother was stronger than I gave her credit for," Jason smiled thinking of his wife.

"What about you?" Lexi asked her dad cautiously.

Jason swallowed hard as he thought about what to say.

"Well I was worried that your birth mom would come take you back. Also I was still grieving for Lila, myself. Your Aunt Carly had to knock some sense into me. Between Sam and Carly, I came around to the ideal," Jason spoke honestly.

"So," Lexi whispered almost.

"In a marriage someone has to push sometimes. I know it seems like I do it the most, but your mom pushes sometimes as well. She pushed this stranger on me... This stranger became my baby girl who became my whole world. You change my life as well as your mother's. We wouldn't be who we are without you," Jason explained the best he could.

"You trying to make me cry," Lexi teared up at her dad's words.

"I just want you to know I couldn't love you more; than if you were biologically mine. Forever and always you will be my baby girl," Jason got up going over to his daughter hugging her.

"I love you too. Even if you are getting grease all over my clothes," Lexi teased her dad because she didn't really mind.

"How about we head home, get dressed, and go out just us two. If it's not too embarrassing to be seen with your dad," Jason asked wanting to spend a little more time with her.

"Never embarrassed to be with you. Only if you take me to Kelly's for a burger, fries, and strawberry milkshake," Lexi agreed with a nod.

"I think I can do that," Jason replied as he let her go.

"We could get a cheesecake afterwards to take home to mom, Danny and Phoenix. My treat!" Lexi suggested as they left the shop to go home.

"I think your baby sister is too young for cheesecake just yet," Jason chuckled lightly as they went getting into his truck.

"I won't give her much just the tiniest crumb of the creamy filling," Lexi batted her eyes.
