the story sets about 100 years in the future all the x-men that we've known, Cyclops, Storm, Professor X, etc. they have all passed on, only Logan is the last of the older generation, and he has the decided to live on his own, the new x-men constantly tried to bring him back, the x-man known as Forge believes that the Professor would want him to stay with the team but Logan refuses, forges telepath friend looks into Logan's mind and said out loud that he is tired of seeing his friends die and that he doesn't want to see anymore. this anger Logan so he breaks contact with the X-men, and continues his solo journey (a few years back he was injured on one of his mission, now there's something stuck inside of him and because of this his healing ability is less powerful, he can remove it at anytime but refuses to, he doesn't care anymore) while on his on he eventually meet the young girl x-23, he see's her being attacked by mutant hunters, he doesn't want to get involved but he is to kind hearted so we see him struggle with the decision before he rushes to help, after rescuing her the two run away Logan telling her to go home but she wont leave his side eventually after yelling at her, he decided to take her home, she takes him to an abandoned building where he see's other kid's (the mutant kids from the movie) he asked what's going on, they told him how they escaped from a facility that was preforming experiments on them daily and that some where killed in those experiments, after their escape they've been on the run looking for a safe place, Logan told them about Xavier institute and reluctantly decided to take them there, since he threw away anyway to communicate the x-men long ago he must now travel their with the kids trying to stay safe on there travels they try to stay out of sight and Logan does his best to be there mentor, when there about a mile away from the mansion the hunters finally catch up to them and attack them (similar to the battle in the movie and Logan meeting a similar fate) after the battle and after making a tribute to Logan the kids continued to the mansion, the next scene shows the x-men gathered at Logan's funeral Forge gave the eulogy saying that even though he lose so much and suffered so much in the end one again risked everything for another, in the end he died an X-men.
