Joe watched as Barbie conversed with Linda and Julia. His arms were crossed over his chest and his eyebrows were lowered in a way that only Barbie could do. The way that showed his concern but determination at the same time. Joe continued to watch as he stood with his sleep tousled hair and his shirt that hadn't been pulled down all the way from his rush to leave the house.
Who knew what the matter was in the dome this time?
There was always something going on, at this point, Joe wouldn't be surprised if the sky opened up and there was a rush of water that started to fill the dome.
Like a bowl of water for goldfish.
Barbie said something to Linda and he must not have liked the response, because he dropped his hands to his hips and turned away for a moment. He kicked at the ground, acing his hands behind his head, then turned back to Linda. He brought one hand up and rubbed his beard.
Joe's eyes followed his every movement.
"Joe!" Joe turned to Benny, who looked like he was trying not to laugh. Joe smiled a little, causing Benny to shake his head. "Dude."
"I guess I should stop that, huh?" Joe gave a nervous laugh before following Benny down the street, away from Barbie, Linda, and Julia. He risked a glance over his shoulder and caught Barbie's eye. The corner of his mouth lifted and he nodded at Joe.
Joe smiled back before turning to catch up with Benny.
The End
A/N: I kind of like the idea of the Barbie/Joe pairing, though I usually don't write a lot of slash. I hope that you guys liked it.
