Prologue
Lady Chisako is the mate of Lord Yasunori. Both are well endowed minor lords of the southwestern area of the south, thanks to the good contacts that they have over all the land. Recently there was a battle in the south and their Lord was assassinated. In a sudden rush of commotion they approach the most powerful Lord in the land and pledge their loyalty to him, to solidify their union they made an agreement.
"Well milord that is the conclusion of this treaty. She will arrive tomorrow with some of our house escorts. When the stated clauses are met…"
"I will send her your way." finished the aristocratic Lord.
"Now that everything is in order my liege, we can discuss war tactics." responded the satisfied Yasunori. Both demons stood up from table and made their way to the Lord's study where all the other generals and minor lord were awaiting them.
Higurashi Manor
"Mother you can't do this to me. We had an agreement! That I was to mate whoever I wanted" said a fuming Kagome, pacing from one end of the room to the other.
"Dear we need this treaty if we are going to survive the war in our lands" said an aggravated Lady Chisako pinching the bridge of her nose to alleviate the headache that was forming in her head.
"But this is so unreasonable to me, and what about my honor?" she said dejectedly sitting on the end of her futon. Lady Chisako moved to her daughter's side and put her arm around her in mid hug.
"You will have an even greater honor of bearing the Heir of the western lands and after you will return home and be able to be happy with whoever you want."
"What about the pup that we would have? I wouldn't wish to be parted from it" she said disheartened.
"That can be arranged. Now let us go prepare you". She said moving them both to the door on the left where the private hot springs were located. Helping her daughter out of her yukata and untying her own kimono they lowered themselves on the hot water for a bath.
