Chapter: Prologue
It was the first time he didn't show up… I stared at the clock blinking again and again on my nightstand and shook my head. Looking at it was no use, the damned thing had been turned off one night and wasn't set to the right time due to my laziness.
I walked over to my desk and picked up my phone. 1:52, past 12 o'clock. The time we both lived for…
I had guessed he forgotten, which sounded unusual for him. I mean, considering who I was talking about, It didn't seem plausible he'd forget. He was always so anal about everything.
Maybe he couldn't get away… The thought seemed more likely then the first. That's probably what had happened, why would an other make sense.
Pai wasn't one to ditch me, or be angry, or try for jealously. He was trustworthy and kind, things I admired so much from him.
He was such a better person then I was and he wasn't even human… The irony sometimes made me chuckle.
Deciding to give up, I closed the curtain of my window and tied my long violet hair back. I stepped into my bed and turned so I was facing a single lavender flower on my nightstand and my purple lamp.
The flower brought back many memories, enough to make me smile in my halfhearted state.
'Pai…'
His name ran threw my head as my eyes closed. And then I felt this hand against my cheek, almost real. I could smell his sent as I drifted off to sleep.
