Another day of fruitless efforts in gaining food. Foiled by Kion and his Lion Guard in Pridelands

"That lousy Kion," Janja said. The leader of his bachelor clan of hyenas had a nasty landing when Kion used the Roar of the Elders on him. It involved thorns, and his butt

"Whoa, Janja," Chungu said "You butt looks like a cactus,"

"Haha!" Cheezi laughed "Cactus butt!"

Janja spat a few thorns he had just picked out with his mouth at Cheezi's nose

"Owie!" the red nosed hyena cried in pain

"Shut it fur brains!" Janja barked not in the mood for jokes. He went back to tending to his rump

After a few moments Chungu said

"For being a guard, Kion and his friends are real jerks aren't they?"

"Yeah," Cheezi said plucking the last thorn out of his nose "We just wanted to get something to eat, it's not our fault we were born in a place with not much food,"

"Bet if we lived in the Pridelands and hunted some zebra, Kion wouldn't care at all," Janja said

"Seems kind of hypocritical," Cheezi said "They go and protect all those animals, just for the predators there to kill and eat them."

"Wait, you know the definition of hypocritical Cheezi?" Janja said surprised

"Kion even keeps the jackals out of the Pridelands," Chungu said, a tear ran down his eye "They just want to feed their many little puppies,"

"Cute little puppies," Cheezi said starting to cry "They'll starve!"

Chungu got his friend a leaf, which Cheezi blew his red nose into

"Yeah," Janja said "That Kion's no guard, just a bully, and a hypocrite! He's hogging all the good stuff for himself and the other predators. While we have to live of mice and scraps."

"Seems really dumb all those animals made their king someone that eats them to," Chungu said

"Yeah," Cheezi said "How does that work out?"

"Yeah, Janja said "Like if Kion and his friends save a baby wilder beast, only for his mom or dad to kill it in a hunt later? Plus, doesn't the mom of that baby get all devastated? Her kid just died! Must be to afraid of those lions,"

"Or to stupid," Cheezi said

"Yeah, they're bigger fur brains than us," Chungu said "All panicking and running,"

"Probably better those animals don't wise up and revolt," Janja said "Don't need anymore beatings then what Kion and his dorky friends dish out,"

"Plus chasing them down is half the fun," Cheezi said

"The other half is eating," Chungu said "If only we get to that part more often,"

"Kion's a jerk," Janja said

"Agreed," his friend said
