I own nothing
Arthur looked up at the clock and sighed.
Every night at 7:30, Arthur gets his twin sons ready for bed. His two energetic 4 year old twin sons.
"Ok boys," said Arthur, standing up and clapping his hands together, "time for bed."
Alfred and Matthew looked over at their father and groaned.
"But dad," Alfred whined.
Arthur bent down and picked up the boys.
"No 'but's," said Arthur, heading up the stairs. "We're going to go pick up papa from the airport tomorrow and you need to get some rest.
Alfred pouted but said nothing. Arthur put the boys down after he entered the twins' bedroom and went over to the dresser, picking out pajamas.
"Dad, can you read us a story tonight?" Matthew asked as Arthur walked over to them with their pajamas.
"I will after we get ready for bed," said Arthur with a smile, helping Alfred change.
After getting Alfred and Matthew into their pajamas, Arthur took them to the bathroom and helped them brush their teeth. Then he took them back into their room.
"Ok, you two have a choice," said Arthur kneeling down in front of the 4 year olds, "I can read you a story book of your choice or I can make up a story to tell you."
"Can you tell us how you and papa met?" Matthew asked.
"Yeah, can you tell us that?" Alfred asked excitedly. "Please."
Arthur thought about it.
"Alright," said Arthur.
Both of the boys smiled and jumped into their beds while Arthur sat down in a chair.
"Well, I was visiting a good friend of mine in France when I met your papa," said Arthur. "I was at a bookstore at the time and I couldn't reach this one book. I was getting frustrated and was about to go get an employee to help me when your papa grabbed the book and handed it to me."
"So you and papa met over a book?" Alfred asked.
"Yep," said Arthur. "He asked me about what books I like to read and we started talking. Soon, we were going out."
"Then, you got married," Matthew added with a smile.
Arthur laughed and nodded.
"Yes, Matthew, that's right."
"Can you tell us more?" Alfred asked, excited to hear more.
"Maybe tomorrow," said Arthur, getting up and pulling the covers back on Matthew's bed, "but right now, it's time for bed."
Arthur pulled the covers over Matthew and tucked him in before heading over to Alfred and doing the same.
"Good night Alfred," said Arthur, placing a kiss on top of his forehead before going over to Matthew and placing a kiss on top of his forehead. "Good night Matthew."
"Good night dad," the boys said in unison.
Arthur smiled and turned off the light before the left the room, leaving the door open a crack. Two hours later, Arthur went upstairs and got ready for bed. Before going to his room, Arthur checked on the boys. He saw them sleeping peacefully. He smiled and went to his and Francis' room.
After getting into bed, Arthur grabbed the picture of Francis, himself, and the boys. He smiled and placed it back on the bedside table. Arthur got himself comfortable under the covers and was asleep in moments.
