Daddy Issues
"I hate you," Scarlett said as she jabbed her wand against his throat. Pollux winced and tried to back away, his progress being halted by a pair of strong, black clad legs. He tilted his head back to see what was stopping him only to meet the cold, black, dangerous eyes of Severus Snape.
"Thanks, hun," Scarlett said as her eyes connected with his.
When Pollux heard this, he scoffed. "Always did have a thing for the troubled ones, didn't you, Severus?" He chuckled at his own attempt at humor. His chuckling, however, was stopped when two very dangerous wands pointed in his direction.
"I should kill you," Scarlett growled. One wand disappeared.
"Ahh, but you won't. You, my daughter, are too weak. Just like your mother," he sneered, taunting her. He thought that if he could stall long enough, he might be able to get out of this.
"I am not too weak to kill you. To rid the world of one more piece of scum," she snapped, jabbing her wand closer to his direction. Pollux winced and put his hands up to shield his face.
Scarlett raised her eyes to Severus'. After a moment, she continued. "I'm strong enough not to," she said and lowered her wand a fraction before looking down at him.
Pollux sneered at her. He gathered all the magic he could and sent it at his daughter. Unfortunately for him, it bounced off of her shield.
She shook her head. "Just like you. You're given a chance, and you waste it." With two more words, she pointed her wand at him and wrapped him up nicely for the aurors after the battle. "Have fun in Azkaban... Father," she sneered before looking back to Severus.
He winked at her and she smiled. "Are you ready to fight your way to the others?" he asked.
"As long as you are beside me, I can fight my way to Hell and back," she replied with a smile and twinkle in her eyes.
"Good," he said, smirking, "because that is where we are headed."
With a shared look of amusement, they ran in the direction of the main battle. Before they broke through the trees to the chaos ahead, they shared a quick kiss. Almost as if to say I will see you soon. They lingered for a moment before going their seperate ways. Severus, to fight with the Death Eaters while secretly aiding the Order. Scarlett, to help anyone who seemed to need it on her way to Harry.
