I did not write The Host. Stephanie Myer did, and I am just basing this scenario off of her amazing book.
"Moon Shine? Are you awake?" The Healer peeked around his shoulder to glance at a young girl, whose body was breathing shallowly.
"Yes," The girl muttered, eyes glued shut.
"Then the insertion was successful," he said, scratching something on his clipboard. "How are you feeling?"
"Blank," the girl said in a monotone.
"Well, that's good, I guess," said the Healer, scratching something else on his clipboard. He began to turn away when the girl spoke again.
"Where am I?" She said.
"Earth"
"It... feels different," The girl said "Not like my old world. I can see light, but it's fuzzy."
"That's because your eyes are closed, Moon Shine."
The girl's eyes snapped open. "Oh," she said. Her eyes widened. "Oh," She breathed.
The Healer followed her gaze out the open window.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" he asked. "It's one of the reasons we set up on this planet"
The sun sent light rays bouncing off cars and the metal playground across the street, where young human children played without a care in the world.

Charlotte's eyes snapped open again, for the third night in a row. She called to her mother, who was just down the hall. Her mother came rushing in, sliding up next to Charlotte and running a hand through her daughter's brown hair.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" she said.
"I had one of those dreams again," Charlotte said, staring into her mother's eyes. "This time, Jeremy stabbed himself with the scalpel"
"Oh, sweetie!" her mother breathed, grabbing Charlotte's hands and pulling her into a hug. "Everything's fine. I'm positive he's okay. No need to worry, it's just a small surgery"
"But why?" Charlotte questioned. "Why does he need surgery?! He's only 14, nothing's wrong with him!"
"Now, sweetie," her mother crooned. "As his sister, it's your job to be strong for him, alright? The surgery is going to go as planned, and he's going to come home in a few days"
"Okay," Charlotte muttered. Her mother lightly kissed her forehead and slowly walked into the hallway, shutting the door quietly behind her.

"Yes, it is," the girl said solemnly.
Get out of my body! A voice shouted. The girl covered her ears.
"What was that?" she said to the Healer.
The Healer wore a puzzled look.
"What was what?" He said.

Nov. 4th
It was the day that Jeremy came home.
Charlotte skipped down her hallway to answer her front door, sure of the boy who was going to be standing on the other side of it.
She reached the door only to find that her mother had already answered it. She was holding a whispered conversation with the person at the door. Charlotte could barely make out what her mother was saying.
"Don't say anything, she still has a few more years before it's her. She's only twelve"
"I know," the voice on the other side of the door said. Charlotte would recognize that voice anywhere.
"JEREMY!" she shouted, pouncing at the open door. Her brother caught her and hugged her tight.
"Hey, kiddo!" Jeremy said.
Charlotte noticed his eyes seemed to shine.

"What do you mean 'What was that?' That shout!"
"Are you okay, Moon Shine?"
The girl realized that the Healer thought she was crazy.
"I'm fine," she said, staring down at her feet. "So how did I get here?"
"You don't remember?"
Yeah, i'm not finished yet. This is the first part of the first chapter.
